A/N: I'm going to say as little as I can as to let you get to reading as soon as possible. But no worries, there won't be any major character deaths, not that there are more than 3 major characters.

Last time on The Avian...
Kahili returned to Maxwell to gain assistance in tracking the Unyielding Legion vessel to which Obsydian was meant to deliver supplies. He stowed away on the ship and slept through the night in the galley.
Kahili awakened once the ship arrived at its destination, which was the Unyielding Legion's largest and most secure penitentiary. He started a mass prison break and rescued Grim, a member of the Knights of Ardonia.
Kahili and Grim escaped the island on a stolen Unyielding Legion ship, but another was bringing prisoners to the island. The hostile ship attacked, but Kahili was able to destroy it by pouring oil all across it and firing a flaming arrow, causing it to combust.
Now, Kahili and Grim are racing against time to reach the Oakendale Union Festival before the Unyielding Legion enacts their plan.

The ship had docked in Meridian, so Kahili could get his arrows as soon as possible and leave via the beacon. He and Grim ran through the streets of the Cydonia capital until they finally reached Aren. "Aren! The arrows! Oakendale!" Kahili barely breathed out. Aren jumped up from his station. "Calm yourself, friend. What about Oakendale?" he asked the exhausted Avian.
Kahili and Grim took their seats across from Aren. "What about the Unyielding Legion?" Kahili didn't know where to start. "I broke into one of their prisons and rescued this guy," He gestured toward Grim. "And I found out that the Unyielding Legion is planning to attack the festival in Oakendale." Aren's eyes widened.
"Aren, are the arrows finished?" Kahili asked, stressed. Aren nodded. "I was just finishing the last one. You gave me enough Netherite for almost two stacks." Kahili smirked. He took the arrows. "Thank you for your service, Aren. But I need to ask you one last favor."
Knowing how the fletcher would respond, Kahili blushed while saying this. "Can you send a messenger bird to Kyoko in Oakendale? Tell her the festival is in danger and I'm coming." Aren chuckled. He began writing on a paper. "Don't worry, I'll make sure your girlfriend gets this message." Kahili shook his head. "Thank you." He took Grim's arm and flew off with some complaint from the latter.

Kahili and Grim flew (Kahili was the only one flying) as quickly as possible to Oakendale, noticing that there were clouds rolling in. They didn't have the sun to protect them anymore. Three Phantoms swooped down and tried to attack Kahili. Oh, come on!
Kahili tried to allow Grim to kill them while maneuvering out of danger. It was a struggle, to say the least. After the Phantoms were defeated, Kahili and Grim continued their flight to Oakendale. "Grim, we're almost there!" Kahili told his friend excitedly.

Kyoko noticed a bird flying into Oakendale with a letter. It flew right onto her shoulder, dropping the letter into her hand. "It's from Kahili!" she exclaimed to herself. "Kyoko, my name is Aren. I was told by your boyfriend Kahili to tell you that the festival is under threat of attack by the Unyielding Legion. But no need to worry, he's fine and on his way to Oakendale," she read to herself. Kahili's coming? And... boyfriend?!
