SCARLETT

Today, in the afternoon, the remaining close relatives and friends of the Andersons and Sinclairs arrived and the place I'm currently in, is full of commotion.

Tomorrow however, this place is going to be much more crowded. Many more guests are to come tomorrow, which includes my family.

We are in the hall, doing rehearsal for Rachael's wedding. I'm one of her bridesmaids and I'm totally pissed.

Why do weddings need to involve this big drama?

When to enter
How to enter
How to walk
How to carry bouquet
How to act
How to react

This is hellish! I feel like wedding planner's puppet and so do others, but unlike me, they're enjoying it. I can't help it.

We've got a fifteen-minute break and this is much like a short-term freedom to me. I came to my seat, picked up my phone and checked for any important text or call.

My eyes fell on Alicia and Smith laughing with each other.

I met her at Alex's office once and I know she is a fine girl. Yesterday, I understood that Aaron was taking her help to make me jealous.

A night ago, he was dying for me. If he had to get a new girl, he wouldn't have used the 'Mom' card to stop me here.

Although I don't hate Alicia, but when Aaron commented on her lips, I felt something pricking my heart. I am not supposed to feel anything for him, yet I can't help it either.

My heart went numb when he disclosed that he never kissed anyone except me.

I kept my promise and strikingly he too. I never expected him to even remember it.

He's making things harder for me each day.

The only remedy to this is, getting away from him as soon as possible.

"You know, an Australian man once tried to sell New Zealand on eBay.", Amy read out from her phone, while sitting beside me.

"Yeah, the starting price was one cent.", I replied.

"And I thought that waitress was kidding me. I even betted 500 dollars. God, my hard earned money!"

"Betting with native people on the facts about their homeland, how smart."

"Don't rub salt on my wounds. Where were you when I was betting?"

"I'm not your PA."

"You are the worst friend ever. And don't you dare say 'I know'. Oh my 500 bucks. I could've bought a freaking dress."

"Your presence never makes me feel we're filthy rich.", I said shaking my head.

"Thanks if that was a compliment.", she rolled her eyes.

"Looks like they're getting along well.", I said to Amy, pointing at Smith and Alicia.

"Yes, all are, except the ones who should be.", she said crankily.

I had forgiven all of them, but that doesn't mean I've given them green flag to bring that topic up repeatedly.

"Not again Amy."

"Lett, you know what, I want some happiness... for you. And I just don't happen know which shop to look in. Why can't you choose it for yourself, just for once?"

"I'm happy.", I interjected.

"And I'm iron man.", she rolled her eyes, "See him", she said pointing to Aaron sitting next to Dylan, with an iPad in his hand, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but look at that asshole... There is your happiness. Why aren't you letting it in your life?"
