The cobra kais didn't stay for a long time with you that night. Susan and Bobby drove at his place and the others a god knows where they went. Barbara took you home.

-Johnny kept staring at you all night you know.. she said in order to break that deep silence surrounding you

He didn't. She was just trying to make you feel better. She could see that you hadn't said a word since you saw him. You were clearly avoiding talk to him exactly the same way he did.

-Right.. you mumbled

You barely slept that night. You couldn't take all those things out of your mind. And that photo of you and him sticked on the wall on the right of your bed was making it even worse. You had forgotten about that photo.. You were so used of watching it there on your wall among all those other posters that you didn't realize how truly used you were of dating him before.. Being with him almost every day..

The next week went the same. Exactly the same. You were clearly avoiding him and all those girls always around him hoping that one of them could get in his pants.

You had only two eye contacts that whole week. The first one was during that break in the cafeteria. You had got in while he and the others were leaving. The second one was at the arcades while you and Alli were playing some games. He was there. His blue eyes could always be seen even in the most crowded places.

It was Monday. School was a bit difficult that day since you had these two tests. Jimmy was complaining about Tommy stealing something from him to you when you were supposed to be having English class and you also had a deep pain on your knee because of some other kid kicking you while playing soccer.

-What a jerk.. Susan giggled
-Mm?
-Bobby. He promised to give me a lift to school this morning and his dumb ass forgot
-How typical.. you laughed

Silence. Susan gave a glance to Alli and then back to you. Her eyes back on Alli again in meaning.

-Come on tell me. you said
-What?

You raised your right eyebrow and giggled pretending to be annoyed of her thinking you were too stupid to realize her not really unnoticeable stare.

-Alright.. Bobby.. Well he told me that Johnny isn't that well the last week.. That he has some problems with his family..
-Oh..
-I know you two broke up and you don't give a shit but..

"You don't give a shit".. That's what she said. Do they really think that? Does Johnny think that?

Just because you weren't together it didn't mean you didn't care about him. It didn't mean you didn't love him..

You wondered how he is.. What kind of problems he's dealing with now.. How much he's hurting himself again..

Your eyes searched for his strong familiar figure among all those kids in the school yard but you couldn't spot him. It wouldn't be something new if you accidentally hear again rumors of him screwing with some whore in the bathroom..

You turned your head back to the girls and saw that they had changed subject without you to notice.

-Let's go to McDonald's tonight shall we?
-What time?
-Around 7:30?
-Good. Y/N?
-Oh um yeah sure..

Johnny was nowhere. His bike was also missing from the usual parking place and so did Bobby's. That's great.. You looked forward and got in the bus feeling worried about the boy you used to date once. The only empty seat was in the front next to some guy.

-Hey it's Y/L/N isn't it? Y/N Y/L/N?
-Yes? you said neutrally
-Oh nothing just wondering. he smiled

You smiled politely putting your walkman on and turning the music on the loudest possible. When you turned to look outside the window your eyes caught the boy's lips moving as if he was saying something.
