We Need To Do This Together

The four dogs then put their paws together and held their breaths hoping it would work, but it didn't instead the four got knocked against the wall. "Ouch." The four dogs yelp looking at Olive, "What did we do wrong?" Marvel asks. "I don't know… we must be missing something." Olive says before looking at the book, "My question is what. "What are you guys talking about?" Michaela ask as Olive sighs, "These four are part of a prophecy that will save the passenger the main part said, 'When four paws glow as one. This horrible time will be done. Everything will be at peace. When light makes the darkness retreat." Olive rehearsed as she pretty much memorized it. 

Mick just thought for a few long moments before saying, I think you're missing something when light makes the darkness retreat. There's two ways light and darkness work. It could mean good and bad. Or it could be like day and night. I think you're looking at the wrong one Olive." Michalea says as Olive looks to her, "But Aunt Mick, how does that work out there are only four wolves with these special abilities." Olive says before the black and brown wolf dogs walk up. "Actually there are two more. Our adopted sisters Rina and Gwen. Their ability is to control the light and darkness." Ash explains making Olive light up. 

"Wait really, how come the prophecy doesn't talk about them?" Olive asks Ash and Breeze who sighs, " Because they are in another one. They are what us wolves called the day and night guardians. I had a gut feeling when we came down here that leaving them was a bad idea, but we were in a rush, and I ignored it," Breeze says as Olive nods, "Okay great do you know where they are we could really use their help." Olive told the two wolves who looked at each other. They're probably up on the mountain. I mean that is our home." Ash informed Olive who sighs "Are you sure they're not in city limits? We really don't have time if we want to revive mom." Olive says as Breeze sighs, "There's only one way to find out, and I would close my ears if I were you. We can get loud." Breeze says  as she throws her head back and howls. Ash quickly did the same thing. 

After finishing howling the humans looked at the wolves as if they were crazy, "What? It's not like we have cellphones, we can't just call them up." Ash says with an eye roll as looked to Olive then her brothers. "I hope Gwen and Rina can actually help." She whispers to them as Miracle and Marvel nod, "We hope they heard you." Miracle says, as he knew the sisters didn't like him very or Marvel very much since Ash and Breeze decided they were both lying to them about the past, but hopefully Gwen and Rina didn't hold grudges, otherwise he and Marvel would be dead meat without even trying to help their family.

"Yum, trash food… Rina, when will we go home and hunt? I know it's only been two days, but I need something real to eat." Gwen says starting to eat the moldy pizza she and her sister found. "Soon, and trust me I hate this as much as you do, but we need to stay close ju…" Rina started before a howl broke through the silence making both wolves look at one another they knew that howl from anywhere, "That's Ash's and Breeze's howl they say before throwing their heads up and howl a reply back. "Come on sis, eating can wait, they need our help." Rina says, taking off down the street. Gwen quickly tries to run and catch up. "Rina wait up… I'm not as fast as you!" Gwen barks out dodging a few trash cans as she did so Rina finally stopped for a minute to let her sister catch up, but the minute they were side by side. She took off again, but this time Gwen was expecting and kept up with her sister making sure to turn them invisible. Before going on to a main street.

After a few minutes of doing this both wolves found themselves at the Stone's house. Both pausing to ring the doorbell as they didn't want to risk getting shot because they went into a dog door. :Olive immediately answers looking at the two wolves. "Please tell me your Gwen and Rina." Olive says, making the two wolves nod, "Yes, we are looking for our sisters Ash and Breeze. They gave us a howl for help." Gwen told Olive who nodded. "First off don't you worry they are fine we just need your help. Do you have any idea about a prophecy…" Olive started, but both wolves rolled their eyes and interrupted. "When four paws glow as one. This horrible time will be done. Everything will be at peace when light makes darkness retreat. Of course we know it, we've only heard it about a million times in our lifetime." Rina says before looking at Gwen. "Let us guess we are the light and darkness the prophecy is referring to." Gwen asks as Olive nods.

"Yes, you are, but there's something horrible you'll have to… " Olive once again started, but the wolves butted in, "We'll have to sacrifice ourselves we know! Again it's not the first time we've heard the story. We're willing to do anything for our sisters, even sacrificing ourselves." Rina told Olive who nodded, "Okay then come on in I'm sure you want to talk to your sisters before doing this." Olive says leading the two wolves inside. There the two wolves saw their sisters and nuzzled them. Breeze and Ash smiled and wagged their tails. "We're sorry for running off like that and leaving you two alone. You'll always be our sister." Ash told Gwen and Rina who nodded "It's fine you were mad we were mad too. I understand your reason, but now let's get this done before someone in your house shoots me and Gwen." Rina says making all  six parts of the prophecy look at another. 

"Hey I know you don't like us much, but do you have any idea how this works?" Miracle asks as Rina nods, "Summon your power then we put our paws on Grace, and then we say the prophecy over again letting them know we are ready." Rina says, making the others nod as they summon their powers, before putting the glowing paws on Grace's body, "For when four paws glow as one this horrible time will be done. Everything will be at peace. When light makes the darkness retreat!" All six bark at once.

Faith just watched from where she and Hope we're standing the six colors bonded together. Glowing brighter than ever before. She would even dare say the glowing light was beautiful, but not getting the love of her life back wasn't. Miracle was all she wanted right now, but instead he was sacrificing himself for her and everyone else, same with Marvel. She looked to Hope who came closer to her. "Why did they have to do this?" she whimpers as Faith sighs, "Because they want us and our family to live happily. She says, and the moment she did the light blast made a wave that knocked all the 828ers including Hope and Faith over. 

"Well that hurt, but I hope that means this is all over." Faith says picking herself up from the ground before noticing Grace who was now sitting on the bed. "I can't believe those wolves did so much for me." Grace told Faith and Hope who nodded, making Olive and Cal look up. "Mom!" They screamed out yelling and hugging their mother. Soon Ben got up at hearing Grace and hugged her, but looked at the dog bodies that we're now spread over the floor. "Those guys saved us. It's all over now. Grace me and your son are home for good." Ben says before looking at Cal and gaping as he was now the same age as Olive. 

After making sure everyone was okay from the light blast both Faith and Hope ran to the white dogs whimpering and nuzzling their faces. "You saved us, we'll never forget you." They both say before noticing Zeke still standing in the room of course he wanted to say goodbye to his dogs. So both female dogs left the room to let Zeke have some time with his pets. 

"Thank you Miracle and Marvel, not only did you save me twice, but you saved my wife and the 828ers. Life is not going to be the same without you. Zeke says petting the dog's head as Drea comes in, "Hey Zeke I heard the girls I've been watching helped, and I want to say goodbye. I admit I didn't want to keep them in my house, but they were the sweetest things ever. I wish I could have had longer with them." Drea admitted nervously. Zeke just scoots over. "I don't mind going ahead." Zeke says still concentrating on petting his two best friends. Before Drea could say anything to her dogs though she noticed a glowing coming from their shoulders. "Um Zeke… are you seeing this?" Drea asks as she point to Miracle and Marvel who were also glowing which made Zeke back up. "Something is happening, but I don't know what." Zeke says before calling to the other dogs, "Faith, Hope you might want to get in here." Zeke called out and he could literally hear the scattering from the first floor

The light glows brighter, making both humans just watch before seeing all six of the dogs up on all four paws, a mark on each of their right shoulders. Miracle and Marvel look at each other. They were alive. "How did this happen, how are we alive?'' Miracle asks the wolves who look at him. "Oh we forgot one tiny detail. If the wolves were to do the right thing they shall live again to keep the world in harmony." Gwen says as she looks at the marks on the other's shoulders, "Welcome to the team of Guardians." Before the two white dogs could say anything Zeke was petting them. "Good boys. Glad to have you back." Zeke says as Faith and Hope and Faith run in not believing their eyes, but running and nuzzling their friends. "Don't you ever do that again." They say as Miracle and Marvel nod. "We won't that's a promise
