Jamal laughed "Your kidding right.... This is a cruel joke" I shook my head and bit my lip as he hit the wall and stalked out. I ran after him "Did you kill her!!! LUCIOUS DID YOU KILL MIA" Jamal yelled making me flinch slightly. He had his father by his collar and he was starring him down.

"Jamal... Jamal let him go he's not worth it" I said pulling on his arm. His face softened and he let him go turning his back on Lucious. Cookie stood up and looked at the floor in disbelief "You killed that girl Lucious" she says slowly while Lucious started laughing.

"Awww come on your gonna believe her... she just got here all she's doing is trying to wrap Jamal around her finger..." He said straightening his suit. Jamal looked at me shaking my hands off.

"You have been really focused on me" he said suspiciously. I glared at Lucious switched my gaze back on Jamal "You don't believe me... MY dad was the one who pretended to be Mia's father so that when the security guard came she wouldn't hesitate for a second to take the bullet MY FATHER WOULD GO TO JAIL FOR WHAT I'M SAYING BUT YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME!!!!" I spat at him ever so often directing my attention to Lucious.

"Your a hopeless daddy's boy then" I said stalking out. Jamal had guilty written all over his face but I didn't care. How did Mia do it how did she deal with this impossible family??? How! I walked out the room to hear light singing.

I frowned and went into the room to see Lola playing with her dolls. I smiled at her and went in "Hey Lola" I said she smiled and waved "Hey Aunty Leigh" she said cutely. I grabbed a stuffed animal and smiled even bigger "Can I play" she nodded bouncing up and down.

That's when I realized that it didn't matter. It didn't matter how much I was upset with Jamal or how intolerable Lucious was. All that mattered was me watching over Lola and keeping my promise. There's no way I'm gonna walk out not on Lola she's already lost so much. But she won't lose anymore.

We played for hours until Lola's attention went towards the door "Daddy!!!!" She screamed making me roll my eyes. I heard him laugh and tell her to say goodbye to all the Lyons. I sighed and got up "Why did you stay I thought you left" I shrugged.

"No reason in particular... I made a promise to Mia whether she was family or not I made her a promise to watch over that girl.... and you... And that's what I'm gonna do" he chuckled taking a couple steps forward.

"For someone to be unrelated you sure do remind me of her sometimes" I rolled my eyes again "So we're still doubting my motives" he shook his head and looked down "No..... I'm sorry... I've been mislead a lot of times by a lot of people it's just still hard to decide who is trustworthy and who's not" I nodded understanding  nevertheless I had other things to do.

And I was still mad at him. As I tried to walk past him he grabbed my arm "Are we good.... if your gonna watch over my daughter and me your gonna have to spends time with me might as well" he said slyly I could the smile he had on without even looking.

"Fine but I will need you to let go because I have to find a place to stay since my dad is leaving" he frowned then smiled. Oh no. He grabbed my hand and I groaned.

"Lola! Would you mind if Leigh stayed with us for a while" the girl was way more than excited about that. And now I couldn't say no because she would be so upset. I smiled and hugged her "Can you take her home for me there's still something I need to do" I nodded taking Lola to the car. I wonder what he's thinking about doing.
