Ch19: Dark knight hero

Mina and Hinokami just stare at the three. "What the hell are you all supposed to be?" Mina asks and the bandit holding a shovel glared at her.

"Just hand over everything you got kid!" He growls and Hinokami sighs. "Yare yare daze... Mina should I deal with them?" Hinokami asks.

"Sure their all yours."

Hinokami cracks her fists and began walking towards the three men. "Can't you get a job like everyone else? Seriously what your doing is honestly pathetic." The leaders eye twitched and charged at her.

"You little runt! I'll kill you!" As he brings a shovel down towards her, Hinokami swiftly catches it.

       
                   [Burning light]

Red flames curled around her arm and up the shovel burning it to ash and also burns the man's hands.

"FUCK! They have magic!" He yells causing his two other friends to panic and they run off.

The flames dispersed as Hinokami watches the three run away.

"You think we should stop them?" Mina suddenly asks and the younger girl shakes her head. "Nah, they won't be doing something like this again." Hinokami answers.

"Let's go I'm pretty hungry."

               {Later on at night}

Hinokami's POV

I was perched on top of a building looking down on two carriages.

Using a new skill called [Mind's eye] with my familiar Glacier, I found out that a group of adventurers were smuggling some illegal stuff from foreign kingdoms that weren't trading with the kingdom of Mistral here. Not only that but they've been kidnapping children here and selling them off to the highest bidders.

There aren't many of them. I say they've got at least three kids in the carriage in the back while the cargo is inside the first carriage.

Chara, my guardian angel that likes to pop up from time to time is sitting down next to me.

"So how are you going to do this one?" She asks me and pets Glacier who was the only one besides me that could see her which I thought was weird at first but it didn't really matter.

"I'll rescue the children first, then I'll improvise the rest." I put on my mask and jumped off the roof with Glacier following and land on a tree branch. I used [Mind's eye] and I was now seeing what Glacier see's. Glacier dives down hovering over the two carriages that we're currently stationary. Their was only three adventurers. Two men and a woman who seemed to be the leader.

The woman looks familiar. I think I've seen her at the guild here whenever my Mom(Jayden) took me with her to go on quests even though I'm not registered as an adventurer yet.

Glacier then glides to the second carriage. Three kids were huddled in a cage. They couldn't be older then four years old. The same age as my baby brother Dylan...

The three of them had brown hair and dark blue eyes. Two girls and a little boy who looked to be the youngest of the three.

Once Glacier finished I stopped using the skill and got ready. I swiftly jump down the tree and ran towards the carriages. The two little girls saw and were about to say something.

"Shush! I'm here to take you home." Oldest girl hesitantly nods. I take out a small hunters knife and unlock the cage. Glacier was still flying around waiting for my signal.

The best thing a Arctic hawk is that they are incredibly strong. And once they reach a certain level they can ever grow in size large enough for someone to ride on them. I've always been fond of birds, especially hawks to be exact. Even when I was back on earth I loved the idea of owning a hawk but that's enough of me blabbering about birds.

I pick up the three kids and set them down. I look at the little boy who's eyes sparkled as he looked up at me.

"What's your name buddy?" I ask him. "Izuku." He responds, I couldn't help but smile at him. Though he couldn't tell since I was wearing a mask.

"Izuku, do you think you can take both of your sisters and hide in those bushes for me?" Izuku nods and takes his sisters hands and go hide.

                     [Flame Spiral]

I breathed out flames that formed into a twister heading towards the carriages. Alerting the three adventurers.

"W-what the hell!?" The woman shouts.

I jump out of my hiding spot and take out my sword.

"Damn it! It's the dark Knight hero!?" The man yells and he takes out a mace. I run up to him and swiftly punch his temple knocking him out and doing the same to the other guy. The only one left was the woman who began to chant a spell.

Small knives made out of water fly at me. I weave between them before countering it using my own spell. [Unattributed Magic: Raising sword slash.]

A sword made of translucent blue energy formed in my hands and I hit the woman with a downward slash that caused the ground to split in it's path. She hits a tree and falls face first onto the ground knocking herself out. I quickly tied up the three adults and sent Glacier to send a note to some knights that we're supposed to be doing their patrol around this area but were slacking off. I left a note on the woman's forehead making sure those pathetic so called guards didn't take the credit. Even though they wouldn't be able anyway. I then went back to the three kids and took them home. Once I dropped them off their parents had saw me and tried to get me to marry their eldest child who looked to be around 14 years old. It got awkward pretty quick so I had left.

I was now on a hill watching the sun rise whit Glacier and of course Chara next to me watching.

"So... since your now going to be making more futuristic inventions what would your company name be?" Chara asks. "I haven't really thought about it... how about Capsule Corp?"
