Upon crying for several hours Alison's eyes had now dried up and she had no more tears left to cry. "Why.. oh why did I die" she blurted out. "Witchcraft of course" Mary blurted out. "I wanted to have a future with Mike, have children, a successful business and of course become an MP" Alison sighed burying her face in the frills of Kitty's dress. "It's alright, you and me can be together now" Thomas quickly sat down and put his hand on Alison's shoulder. Pat tugged on Thomas's shirt and whispered "not now mate, read the room." Thomas quickly got up and corrected his shirt "That's if you want of course" everyone gave him a look of disapproval.
Captain broke the silence "let's go downstairs shall we?" Mike was sat on the couch weeping, "poor fella" Mary sighed "wonder what got him so upset" Everyone gave her a stern look. Suddenly the phone rang "come on Alison, please say you made it" Mike said with a hopeful tone to his voice.
"Good evening, am I speaking to Mike Cooper?"
"Yes, yes, this is Mike Cooper."
"Hello, Mr Cooper my name is Dr Kobayashi, I regret to inform you but unfortunately your wife has not made it, there was very little we could do in such a short time frame."
"WHAT, NO, NO, NO. THERES NO WAY YOU'RE BEING FOR REAL RIGHT NOW"
"She passed away from what we suppose was an exhaustion induced heart attack- in the country I come from the word we use for it is Karōshi"
Mike put the phone down.
Alison froze as she saw her husband take off his coat and throw it violently across the room. He then layed down on the couch and covered his face, sobbing. Captain wrapped his arm around Alison "It's ok, we'll take good care of you." Everyone agreed.
