This image is to show a general idea of what she looked like when she was alive during the 1600s.

I woke up the next day rather early. The only reason I could tell it was early was because the red glow of the sky was ever so slowly growing. Similar to the way the sun used to rise on earth. With a stretch and a yawn I got out of bed. May as well try to find the kitchen, see if they had anything I could use to cook.

A simple pleasure of mine. Also a part of my witchcraft. I got dressed in a T-shirt and leggings. The shirt was maroon red and the leggings were pure black. After the short struggle of pulling the leggings on over my fur covered legs I left my room.

Arriving downstairs I saw that the fire had gone out in the fireplace. That won't do. With a snap of my fingers the fire relit and I smiled. I hadn't been fully sure if I had that power or not, though I'm quite glad that I do.

Now with that out of the way I went in search of the kitchen. It wasn't all that hard to find. Especially after walking into the dining room that it was attached to. The question now, was the kitchen fully stocked? Looking through the cub-boards and the fridge I got my answer.

It wasn't fully stocked. There was only enough for one breakfast for everyone and maybe enough for lunch. After that everything would be exhausted. Did this hotel not have a chef or cook? Or any kitchen staff for that matter?

Shaking my head I decided to make breakfast for everyone. Perhaps I should propose the chef idea to Charlie. I started cooking eggs and bacon, taking some of the bread to make toast. Actually, maybe I should see if Charlie would hire me.

That seemed like a good idea. Bring up the prospect of a chef and then offer to fill the roll. After all, I had gone to school in my second life specifically to become a professional chef. Plus the fact that I do find joy in cooking, or perhaps because I know that I can not be redeemed.

A growl tried to force it's way from my throat before I pushed it back. The memory of God telling me I was chosen to live my afterlife in Hell to protect the others. It always left a bad taste in my mouth and pissed me off. He told me this shit in my first life, when I was 10! It had been my first time communicating with him.

"Good morning my dear!" Alastor's voice called pulling me from my thoughts.

"Oh, good morning Alastor. Are you hungry?" I greeted while offering him a plate.

He eyed the plate a moment before taking it from me, "Why thank you my dear Salem." he said before walking into the dining room.

Not long after he left Charlie entered with the white haired girl. I still have yet to learn the annoying brats name. Nor do I care to ask for it. "I've made breakfast feel free to take a plate. Oh and Charlie dear, I'd like to speak with you afterwards." I told them as I finished cooking.

"Sure thing Salem!" Charlie said cheerfully before both girls took a plate and left.

Time Skip

After breakfast Charlie pulled me aside, "So, what did you want to talk about?" she asked.

"Well I couldn't help but notice that the kitchen was poorly stocked and that it appears you have no kitchen staff at all." I told her with a hand on my hip.

Charlie gave out a nervous laugh, "Sorry...its...its not been the easiest getting people here." she admitted, sounding a bit dejected.

I started to scratch the back of my head, "I was gonna say if you need a chef I could do it. I'm professionally trained it that helps." I told her.

Her eyes immediately began to brighten and sparkle, "Really? Are you sure?" she asked with excitement.

"Yeah it wouldn't be an issue. I'd just need to know where to get ingredients." I told her.

"Yes!" Charlie cheered excitedly, attracting the others attention.

"What's got you so excited?" the spider asked.

"Salem is going to join us as our chef!" Charlie announced happily.

"Charlie dear, I still need to know where I should go to get ingredients." I reminded the excited blonde.

"Don't worry dear. I would not mind accompanying you." Alastor stated after appearing by my side through a shadow.

I looked at him out the corner of my eye, "Why thank you Alastor. I do appreciate it." I told him.

The girl with white hair was watching Alastor through squinted eyes, an air of suspicion practically radiating off of her. Though I didn't so much care as Alastor and I headed off to leave. I was rather looking forward to this shopping trip.

Yay two chapters in one day. Gotta love the holidays.
I'm going to try to keep up the whole chapter a day thing. The only reason as of right now that there wouldn't be a chapter up everyday is if I haven't had the chance to finish writing it. Thank you.
