"There is the devil,
And there is the soul of man,
Where the innate nature hides,
That always blames the devil."
................................................The night life here is something.
Thoren wasn't in the bedroom when I got back. Wonder where he could have wandered off to.
Tonight it's a bright full moon hanging so low in the sky casting an eerie but yet soft glow. It is mesmerizing in a way.The breeze is gentle and warm, it's like am being kissed all over by it. My red hair is free today trailing mostly down my back. I sigh happily as the breeze gently ruffles it a few strands tickling my ears.
Everyone is clad in simple black linen. I have no idea what magic makes it non crease but I appreciate it. The luminous orbs floating around cast no shadows but shine brightly.
A small group of students is performing as a quartet entrancing me in their lilting yet gentle melody that a few people are swaying to.
There are three boys, two dark haired twins and a blonde one who's skill in the violin is quite apparent. The fourth a barefoot brunette with a green flute that adds the lilting melody. She must have quite a set of lungs to play this loud. The string trio and the flute girl are making this worthwhile. To think I was born here, I suddenly feel lucky somehow.
I still have alot of questions from earlier today but I get the feeling the Goddess won't tell us more.
And the nagging feeling that she only told half truths is something I can't shake. But atleast the woman throws a nightime escapede with a wave of a hand that could rival the grandest of balls. So far, am really enjoying myself. But I still wonder where he is.
The air is mystic here. It's like a cross between a grand high ball and prom. It's an interesting spectacle.
The grass beneath me is as soft as sitting on air. I take a sip of.....whatever it is am drinking from the crystal class. I fancy it is under age wine maybe as I watch my siblings mingle.
Jake has gathered quite a crowd of ladies around him. Soia is eyeing him from across the yard while sipping her drink failing miserably not to notice him. I admit he has a gravity about him.
He is so joyful. He seems to be taking in well the story of our creation and being an abomination doesn't bother him at all. I wish I had the same cheeriness as him.Emmeline and Karim are suspiciously absent. They have been absent for most of the day and now the night too? I get a sinking feeling in my gut.
Temi on the other hand has been giving Shen a run for his money as he can't quite catch up to her. Her evasion tactics flawless. I almost feel bad for him if it wasn't so damn hilarious.
Her black dress flows so elegantly around her, it's like she is walking on air. The gentle breeze is making her hair ripple. Her blue eyes glow, the golden specs standing out more in the sea of black eyed people.
She looks herself every inch a goddess. She belongs here, in this mysticism. It becomes her.
I ponder sadly if she would ever leave me for this, I would be happy atleast she is in a place she belongs. I want her to be happy.
I spring up from where am seated when I spot Thoren trying so hard to weave through the crowd invisible. I wonder where he has been. He looks very disheveled.
I notice his palm has a bloody bandage and by the shade of it, it is recent. We all took off our bandages this morning our wounds fully healed. My heart starts racing and not in a good way. I have an odd feeling.
I wonder if he was in a brawl with someone? Am scared for the other party. The haggard expression he is wearing burst the urgency to get to him that has been bubbling since morning. Where did he go? I weave through the crowd faster.
