"One drop, morning and night, and you should be feeling well again in no time." I smiled, handing over a minor healing potion to one of my regular customers. Here on Midgard everyone assumed that my quaint little shop was a hippie essential oils and natural herbs kind of a place, and I welcomed the obscurity. In New York, I was trying to blend in and give my daughter a normal life. Of course, it never is quite that easy is it? "Why have you returned? I've already told you no." Nick Fury stood at my counter, looking as stern as ever. I found that you could never quite read him. Or, at least I never could. "I just need a decoy for this one. Nothing big." He attempted to assure me. "Sigyn, I can assure you the price tag will be worth it." Now, I wasn't doing too bad on my own, but with a daughter to raise in a realm that was run by money, I agreed to hear him out.
Tending to my garden had become almost therapeutic. With the slight twist of my wrist, A bright Asgardian flower bloomed. The crocus flower. I had once thought that to be our flower. Memories of Loki swam through my mind and I allowed myself a moment to miss him. Surely, everything had worked out for the best. I was giving my daughter the best possible chance that I could, but selfishly, I still yearned for him and the life we could have had. I was broken from that thought just as I heard a squeal from inside. I rushed in to see Kari, my four year old daughter with a familiar devious look on her face. "What are you up to?" I smirked. "Look what I can do, Mommy!" She practically shouted as she touched a toy and ice crystallized from her fingertips. I stifled my gasp as I watched the skin of her hands fade to a pale blue. Flicking my pointer finger in her direction, I used my own magic to release her grip on the toy. The blue immediately drained from Kari's hands. Studying my daughter, I had a faint memory of a rumor on Asgard. "Loki is not of this world. He is nothing like the rest of us Asgardians." At the time I had thought it to be a cruel insult, but I now wondered if it held any merit. Was Loki perhaps of Jotunn blood? I shook the thought away. It mattered not. "I am very proud of you, My girl." I hugged my daughter. "You've been practicing your magic just as I taught you. Remember, though, We only do our little tricks at home, alright?"
