QUEEN DOWAGER

"I'm pleasure to have you here Lady Lee Eun. As you know, my family and yours quite close than you thought." I greet.

She smiles "I know your majesty.",

Good, she will be my backup plan if the queen disobey me. She will be my secret weapon. "Do you perhaps like the King?"

She hummed shyly "yes your majesty. I believe the King and I have a strong relationship."

"Good to hear, if you want the King to adore you. You should listen to my words. He always agree in my suggestion." I tell.

AERA

I shed my tears after remembering what happen last night. I can't believe he would do that to me. I thought we're a good friend to begin with. Did he doesn't believe me? Is it because what happen two decades ago?

I wipe my tears away "court lady, Choi come here."

"Yes your highness." She answers.

"Find Jimin, I need him for something." I say.

After a few minutes, Jimin arrive. "You called for me your highness?"

I hummed "I want you to find me any eunuch or court lady that serve King Jung two decades ago. Make it private and told them to find me."

We walk outside since I need to figure them all out. Did my father do something that he haven't told me? Is he have anything with the queen dowager? Why queen dowager pick me as a queen? Is she have any agenda behind all of this?

"Can I get some dessert? Something sweet." I ask.

"I will find the royal cook to make one for you." The court lady, Choi says.

After a whole day, Jimin arrive to report something. "It was Court Lady, Choi your highness. She served the queen."

I'm surprised "thank you." Jimin takes his leave and I call the court lady to enter my chamber alone.

"Court lady, Choi do you serve the queen of King Jung?" I ask straightforwardly.

She bows "yes your highness. Please don't tell anyone. I need to survive after what happened."

"I'm not going to mad at you. Lets keep between us only. I need you to tell me everything from the beginning till how the late-king, King Wook died." I command.

She seems hesitate "don't worry, it just between us. I promise. I have something in my mind related to queen dowager."

With that she starts to tell everything from the beginning till the end. Court lady, Choi was just a maid that time. I'm surprised to heard the history of this royalty. King Jung...was murdered. He was the father for King Jungkook. Is that the reason why he didn't believe me because of my grandfather? But...I can't believe my family would do that.

My father told me that our family is loyal to the one who rule the kingdom.

"The Ji's clan have been quite ever since then, your grandfather was murdered right before the grand queen dowager can gives the punishment order. That time was a dark time in the royal family, it all because of the late King Wook. A day after his coronation, he pick queen dowager as his queen. Not too long, King Wook have died from the mystery illness. Other maid believes that he died from the curse that he killed his own brother."

I hummed and lost in my thought, King Jungkook have a right to suspect my family. Since my father who keep receive a suggestion from the queen dowager. She after the throne...using me was one of her tricks to be her puppet. So my marriage was a set up that was arranged by her...
