Filler / Chapter 6

~ Third Person POV

Peter woke up at 11 in the morning, and found a sleeping Tony next to him. He must've slept with me, Peter thought. Peter checked his phone, and there were a few messages from Ned.

"Hey Peter!"

"Wanna work on Edith today?"

"I have couple of really cool ideas!"

"Yeah, I'm down! Just gotta ask dad".

Peter sent the text message and realized, he called Tony 'Dad'. And when talking to Ned as well. Ned was going to go crazy.

Peter then starts spamming a bunch of random letters and numbers to try and hide the fact that he just called Tony 'Dad' when talking to Ned, and sent a couple of normal text messages to try and hide the spam.

"Yeah!"

"I'm down to work on it today."

"Just gotta ask Tony."

'I hope Ned doesn't freak out' Peter thinks.

Peter then looked at the time, it read '11:17 AM'. He then checked the date. It was Saturday, so no school today. He walks into the living room and sees Pepper making something. It was waffles. "Hey Pepper!" Peter says in a cheerful tone. "Hey Pete. Want to go shopping? Get yourself some clothes?" Peter was going to object but Pepper started talking again, interrupting Peter. "Alright great! I'll finish these waffles, you eat up and we can head to the mall".

Peter sighs and pulls out his phone to start texting Ned.

"I don't think I'll be able to come today. Pepper's taking me to the mall to get some clothes and I think it'll take a while".

"Sorry dude, maybe tomorrow?"

~ Pepper's POV

I haven't been spending much time with him, and I want to get to know him better. Yesterday he called Tony 'Dad', which was a cute scene to see but I want to 'bond' with Peter better. (I hope this makes sense) So now we're going shopping for clothes, and other things he'd want. I finished making the waffles, put some on a plate and gave it to him. Once I was done eating, I cleaned up and went to take a shower.

"Take a shower when you're done, alright?" I tell to Peter before I left. I can see him nodding.

~ Time skip before they leave the penthouse

"Are you coming like that? Won't people recognize you?" Peter asks

"Trust me, we'll be fine." I say reassuringly and we head into the elevator. F.R.I.D.A.Y takes us to the garage, and I choose a black SUV with tinted windows. We get in and I start driving to the mall.

After driving for 30 minutes, we reach the mall. I head into a clothes store with Peter and start talking. "Choose whatever you like" I give a smile "And don't worry about the price, I'll take care of it. I'll be here waiting for you." He nods, thanks me and starts running around. a couple hours  later, he comes at me with a bunch of science pun shirts, a couple pairs of shorts and trousers. I take it from him and pay for it. I also buy him a couple of formal clothes, in case he needs it for whatever reason. He thanks me again. We go to Nandos for lunch (Who doesn't love Nandos?) and I try starting up a conversation.

"So Peter, where are you from?"

"I was born in Queens, lived with my parents till I was 4.. They died in a plane crash. Then I lived with Aunt May and Uncle Ben till I was 10. Ben died while a store was getting robbed and May died thanks to a house fire."

Peter started to cry a bit. He was quite emotional.

"I'm sorry." I say. I pull him closer to me and run my hand through his curls. It calms him down pretty fast.

"We don't have to continue talking if you don't want to"

"It's fine.." A few seconds later, he started talking again "So since then I've been living in an orphanage, till you adopted me." He said the last part with a smile. I smiled back. We ate out food and once we were done, we headed to the car.

We got into the car and I start driving.

"Hey Pepper? Thanks for today.. I had a lot of fun" Peter says softly.

"No problem Peter" I reply and give another smile.

~ I wanted to build Peter's relationship with Pepper, and I don't think I could really add some mother-son bonding time with all other characters in.. I'll try when we get further in the story, but right now this is the best I can do. So this is kinda a filler chapter. Also my writing will 100% get better, trust. Another chapter releasing today as well.
