~ Third Person POV
Peter woke up. He took a minute to collect his thoughts before he checked his phone. It was 8 am. "I must've slept early" he thought. And he saw 69 (haha funny number) messages from Ned. Almost all of them were just him fanboying over the fact that he called Tony 'Dad'. He sighed and groggily got out of his bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready. Get ready for what? He didn't know.
Once Peter was done, he took his phone out and started texting Ned.
"*eyeroll*"
"It was a slip of the tongue"
":/"
"Can we work on Edith today?"
"Don't have anything planned for today."
He tucked his phone in his pocket and headed to the living room. Tony was standing near his coffee machine, waiting for his coffee to brew.
"Hey kiddo!" Tony said with a smile as he noticed me enter the living room.
"Hey Tony." I reply. Tony's smile turns into a small frown. Peter, albeit unknowingly, did call him 'Dad' a few days ago. "Can I go to Ned's this afternoon? I'm working on an AI with him."
"An AI huh? How long have you been working on it for?" Tony asks.
Peter shrugs. "I dunno, it's been a while." Tony thinks for a second.
"Back by 10, okay? But you need to eat something. And what time do you plan on leaving?"
"Hmm." Peter took a minute to give it some thought. "At like, 1 in the afternoon?"
"Wouldn't that be too early?"
"Ned wouldn't mind."
"Okay, you can go. But make sure you get a copy of whatever homework was assigned during school, you missed a few days. That homework better be done when you're back." Tony says.
"Okay, daaad" Peter says, not knowing what he just said. It just comes out of his mouth. Tony's almost-gone frown is now a big smile. Tony's heart melts whenever Peter calls him "Dad".
~ Time skip to 12:45 PM | Peter's POV
I must've said something, because ever since we talked today morning D- Tony has been smiling crazy. I grab a banana, get a couple of my things and head to the elevator.
"Bye Peter!" I hear Tony say
I start peeling the banana and respond to Tony. "Bye Dad." I then realize what I just said. I called Tony "Dad". Is this why he's been smiling since 7 in the morning? Did I call him "Dad" earlier? I was going to say something, but I didn't. He liked me calling him Dad, so I won't stop. I like it too. Once I reach the lobby, I head out of the gigantic doors and start walking to Ned's house. It's a 15 minute walk, but I don't mind.
Once I reach Ned's house, I ring the bell and wait for someone to open the door. A few seconds later, Ned's mother opens the door.
"Hey Ms. Leeds!" I say in a cheerful tone.
"Hey Peter, Ned's in his room." She gives me a smile, I smile back. I head towards Ned's room and he's busy doing something on his computer. I don't pay too much attention to it.
"Hey Ned, what'cha doin?" I ask.
"Nothing much" He closes the tab and look at me. "What all have you done with the AI?"
"I've got the basics done. Voice recognition works, and I think it works pretty well. It can also access basic stuff, like change the temperature on a thermostat, or set an alarm on your phone."
