Flash / Chapter 8

~ Peter's POV

As I woke up, I spent a few minutes just lying on my bed, looking up at the ceiling. I was really tired. When I finally got out of my bed, I checked the time. 6:30 AM. I also had school today, because it was a Monday. I went into the shower, got dressed and started making some Toast while humming something. I had time before I needed to leave and head towards the school. Once the toast was ready, I put it on a plate and started to eat it. Tony came out of the elevator, from his lab I presume. He headed towards the coffee machine and noticed me sitting down and eating.

"Hey kiddo"

"Hi Dad. More coffee?" I said in a cheerful tone. I was in a good mood. Yesterday, I had just finished Edith.

"Mhm. You're in a good mood today, what's up?"

"My AI works! It took a while to finish, but now it's finished! I just need to find a light but sturdy metal to make the frame of the glasses from and I can use it where ever I want. Also, why don't you have a coffee machine in the lab?"

Dad chuckles.

"One, Pepper wanted me to come out of the lab every once in a while, and this is how she does it. If I had a coffee machine in my lab, I'd be there for weeks by now."

I slightly laugh. "What's number two?"

"Vibranium. That's the metal you're looking for. I have a tiny amount, but you should be able to use it with your glasses."

I've never heard of Vibranium before but I say okay. I'm finish my breakfast and head to the elevator which takes me to the garage. I enter the car which Happy is in and he starts driving me to the school. I try and start a conversation with him, but he just puts up the dividers.

Once I'm at the school, I head to the locker. "Hey Peter!" I hear Ned call out. "Hi Ned." I reply. I open my locker and start taking my books. "Do you kno-" Ned started talking but was cut off by Flash. "Hey Penis!" He says in a smug tone. I groan, ignore him and start walking away from Flash, towards homeroom.

Bad move. He pushes me into locker really hard. I swear he broke a bone or two. "Why you ignoring me huh? Didn't your parents tell you to respect your elders? Oh, wait. You don't have parents! You're just a pathetic orphan who's parents comitted suicide because of you." That last comment hurt. "Leave me alone Flash" I say, trying to hide my tears. A drop comes out but I quickly wipe it away before he notices. I make another attempt walking away from Flash but I fail. He pulls me by my collar into the floor but luckily for me, the bell rings before he can do any damage. I get back up and pickup my books before heading to homeroom.

~ Time Skip to Science Class/Before Lunch

Great. The class is almost over and I'm going to have to deal with Flash after this. This is going to be fun. "And remember, you cannot get in any sort of trouble and need to maintain a good attendance to go to the surprise field trip in a few months!" I hear the teacher shout before the bell rings. I take my books and my bag and head to the cafeteria.

I can feel something tingle on the back of my neck. Moments later, Flash shoves me into a locker. What the hell?? I can anticipate danger? "Hey Penis!" Flash says taking me from my thoughts. "Leave me alone Flash." I reply, knowing that's not going to do me any good. "Aww, you scared?"

I grumble something and that's when it starts. He punches me hard in my jaw and starts pulling me to an empty classroom by my collar. Before I can say anything else, he kicks me in my stomach multiple times, throwing insults. "You" kick "are" kick " an useless orphan who" kick "who gets anyone close to you killed". He spits on me and pulls me up, this time punching my face. "Your parents killed" punch "themselves because you are a pathetic" punch "loser who's a mistake". He punches he in my rib really hard before leaving me alone.

Flash did a number on me, I can barely walk. Every time I take a step, I'm in immense pain. I leave the school and start walking home.

While I'm walking home, I ended up thinking in what Flash said. No one loves me, I get everyone around me killed. It's only a matter of time before I get Tony and Pepper killed.. I try to hold back my tears but fail miserably.

~ Time Skip to when Peter is outside the tower

My tears are now sniffles and I'm outside the tower. I walk inside, limping and head to the scanner. I hear one of the guards say "Hey you, where do you think you're going?" I ignore him and walk upto the scanner. "Come back here now!" The guard calls out. I sigh, raise my hand to the scanner and scan my 'implant'. "Hello Peter, welcome back." F.R.I.D.A.Y calls out. I look behind at the security guard while I walk through the metal detector. He's very confused.

I head to the private elevator, enter and head to the penthouse. Once I reach the floor, I start walking to my room, trying not to collapse. I reach the room door successfully, but before I can enter, I hear Tony's voice. "Hey Pete! How wa-" He stops himself before he sees the damage. I head into my room, closing my door behind me just wanting to lie down on my bed. As I lie down, the door opens and Dad walks up to me. "Hey Bambino." He said softly. "What happened?" He sat down next to me on my bed. "Someone bullying you? Need me to-" I cut him off. I don't want him at Flash's doorstep threatening to destroy his life. "NO!" I shout. "no.." I say again but softly this time. I sit up straight now, looking at him. He pulls me into a hug and I bury my face into his chest, now crying again. "Do you love me?" I ask, but it comes out mumbled. Tony pulls away from the hug and looks at me in the eyes. "Of course I love you! Why would you think otherwise?" I start telling him about everything that happened and he pulls me back into a hug. "So you do love me?" I ask. "I do with all my heart. Don't let anyone think otherwise Pete." He responds and I yawn. "I love you Daddy" I manage to say in a whisper. "I love you too my baby boy." I hear him reply. "m not a baby" I groan and try to sleep on my Dad. "Sure you aren't" I can hear him say before falling asleep.
