Olivia had it all. The career. Living the wealthy life. Having true happiness when suddenly it was taken away from her, overnight. She was living her best life before marrying Asher Adams. Her high school boyfriend. After a career ending injury, Ash...
"What are you doing here... no wait scratch that, what the hell are you doing here?" Billy was highly confused "you two know each other?" Spencer walked out the cabin and stopped dead in his tracks. "Yup, or I shall say, used to" Olivia said coldly. "I'm going to ask one more time, what are you doing here?" Spencer slowly walked up to Olivia, standing besides her. "I'm sorry" she turned around to get back in the car. "Is it money that you want? Because you sure as hell stole a lot from me back in high school. Damn near my man too" Darla looked down. "Liv, she doesn't want money. She needs a place to stay—" Olivia cut him off by laughing. "Here? Hell no. She isn't staying with us so she can try and hook up with my man again" she said. "Nothing happened that night Olivia" Darla said. "I don't care, you need to leave" Olivia turned around to walk back in the cabin. "Are you still going to hold onto a grudge that happened years ago?" Olivia stopped and turned around. "You were one of my best friends and you betrayed me. I would never forgive you for that" Darla tucked her lips in trying not to get emotional. "Liv she's homeless" Billy told her. "You sure about that dad? Or is she an escort" Darla looked down "Wow..." she slowly looked up with a tear falling. "You hate me that bad that you would think the worst of me. I am not an escort" she sniffled. I'm sorry for what went down back then. But I didn't kiss Spencer back. I know it seemed like I did but I didn't. You need to tell her the truth Spencer because after all these years, she still hates me" she looked down. "It doesn't matter anymore" Darla looked up "It matters to me because I lost you as a friend" Darla wiped her tears. "That's why you befriended Rochelle. Get out of here and go back to wherever you came from" Liv said angrily before going into the cabin. Darla looked down feeling defeated. "You have to tell her the truth Spencer" Darla cried. He looked at her before turning around and going inside the cabin. "I'll get you a hotel" Billy told her.
Darla's POV

I sat in this nice luxury hotel that Billy booked me for 2 nights, crying my eyes out in the bathtub. Seeing Olivia brought back the memories. No matter how hard I try to forget the past, it seems to come back to me. She doesn't understand what really happened at that party. I went to Rochelle because I hated Liv for leaving me alone. She left me for that guy.... She shut me out when I was crying for help. Despite all of that, I still care for her. I still miss her.
*Flashback*
Darla and Olivia were at a college party. Darla had a little too much to drink to where she was practically dancing with everyone. Olivia wanted to make Spencer jealous when she spotted him with his friends. She started to dance with Asher. She knew Asher would get under his skin. Which it did. He walked up to Darla and pulled her to the dance floor. "What are you doing?" Spencer saw Olivia staring when he slowly kissed Darla. Olivia rushed out of the dorm. Darla pushed Spencer back. "What the hell?!" She rushed after Olivia. "Olivia wait up" Olivia turned around "how could you?" Darla shook her head slowly "it isn't what you think, he kissed me. I swear I didn't kiss him back" she pleaded. "You don't have to lie Darla. You get any man you want, including Spencer" a tear fell from Olivia's eyes. "Liv, I would never hurt you. You have to believe me" she said. "Hey pretty girls" a man walked up to them. "Not now" Darla said to the man. "Liv, please..." she pleaded. "Leave me alone Darla" Olivia walked off leaving Darla alone. "Liv" she called out her name. "Need a lift?" The man asked Darla. "I'm good" she said before turning around. "Oh don't be like that. You're too fine to be out here walking, all alone. Let me take you to your destination" he said. "Again, thanks but no thanks" she walked off.
* End of Flashback *
Darla's thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. She picked up her phone and held it to her ear. "Hello?" She sniffled. "—wait, what?" Tears started to fall "no, no... she can't be gone" she cried. "How am I supposed to do this alone. She was there for me. I can't do this alone" she sobbed. Darla received some devastating news. Her sponsor died from a drug overdose. She threw her phone at the wall before getting out of the tub. She ran her fingers through her hair feeling all her pain hitting her at once. She recently lost her job. Car got repossessed. Lost her apartment because she was late with her payments. She's been turned down by her parents. By her brother. By her former friends. Now learning that her sponsor is gone. She was officially hitting rock bottom all over again. She looked at the desk where she saw a wallet and realized Billy forgot it.
Spencer walked into the bedroom where he saw Olivia seated. "Can we talk?" He walked over and sat down next to her. "There's nothing to talk about" she said. "That kiss" she shook her head before standing up "I don't care about that" she lied. "Liv, that kiss was on me, not her. I wanted to make you jealous and I knew kissing Darla would get the job done. It wasn't my greatest moments because y'all haven't been the same since. You can't fault her for that night when I was wrong" he said. "It's not that. She befriended Rochelle. The same girl you ended up with..." she looked down. "Liv... then you need to talk to Darla and figure out why she did that. The woman that we just saw wasn't Darla. She seems like she's been through hell and back. I saw pain in her eyes. She truly misses you" he said. "I don't care Spencer. She's my past and she's going to stay there" Olivia said before leaving the bedroom. She stopped when she saw Simone standing at the door. "What are you doing here" she asked. "I need to talk to you" Simone told her but Olivia didn't want to. "I'm good" Simone opened the screen and walked in. "Did I invite you in?" Simone sighed "Liv you have every right to be mad at me. I'm sorry for what I did and I'm not here to ask you for forgiveness because that'll be selfish of me. I just.. my marriage is over. He doesn't want me anymore and I don't blame him. But, I don't want to lose you. Our friendship. Our sisterhood. You have always been there for me. Got my son Shay his first crib even before you knew that he wasn't Jordan's but you never took it back, you still allowed me to have it. You've done so much for me and I don't know how to repay you. I'm just so sorry that I betrayed you and if I lost you as well as Jordan, then I wouldn't blame you..." she looked down. "I just need some time Simone..." Olivia said before turning around.
Billy almost got home when he realized he forgot his wallet. He drove back to the hotel where he stood outside of the door. "Darla?" He knocked. "It's Billy, Olivia's father" he knocked a few more times "Darla?" Billy had a gut feeling that something wasn't right. He went back down to the desk to ask for a spare key. They gave it to him since he paid for the hotel room. He went back upstairs and unlocked the door. "Darla I'm coming in" he said before opening the door. He walked in and closed the door behind him. "Darla?" He called out but still no response. He walked to the desk and took his wallet."Darla?" He walked to the bathroom door. "Are you in there? It's Billy, Olivia's dad" still no response. He finally opened the door where he found her hand hanging over the bathtub, head tilted back with her eyes rolled back with a nearly empty bottle of vodka on the ground rolled over. She overdosed. "Oh God" he rushed over and tried to revive her. "Darla?" He tapped her cheek but it was no use. He quickly pulled out his phone to call an ambulance.
