"Brutus, you got a minute?" Matthew walked over to Lance in the warmly lit corner of the library.

Lance nodded and set the quill down, putting whatever homework he was doing aside. Matthew gave the Ravenclaw a warning before lifting up his sleeve to show barely healed scars. Lance immediately grimaced and turned away, not wanting to look at the awful sight any longer than he had to.

"Jesus, a better warning Park." Lance glared. "You can't just spring something as serious as this on me like that. We aren't even friends, you're Rigel's friend. I thought you came to ask me about homework or something and not your personal issues. I'm sure there's a counsellor or something at this school."

"Oh! No. No, it's nothing like that. I don't... I don't do that." Matthew clarified, rolling his sleeve back down, concealing the scars Umbridge had given him. "Umbridge did it to me when I got detention. She has some sort of quill and she's gonna start using it on everyone else who gets a detention from her and doesn't follow her stupid rules."

"You need to tell someone. And by someone I don't mean Rigel or anything because we can't exactly do much." Lance's face twisted in discomfort. "Why on earth did you let her do that to you?"

"I had no choice Brutus. She was threatening my mother at work." Matthew sighed. "I just thought you should be made aware. You and your friends have a bad habit of getting into bother with her."

Lance groaned and put his head in his hands. He opened his mouth to say something but Rigel's companion made his exit out of the library. Lance was shushed by other students as he shouted after the Gryffindor.

His irritation levels were only elevated further when Ginny's youngest older brother made his way over to him. Great, now that made two Gryffindors that bothered him that day. He shot Ron Weasley a glare who seemed the get the hint but proceeded to sit down next to him anyway.

"You good mate?" Ron whispered.

Lance shook his head. "It's none of your concern though so don't worry about it, Weasley. Just some things on my mind, people stressing me out for no good reason."

Ron nodded. Harry had also been getting headaches, very similar to Y/N and he wanted to ask Lance some questions.

However, it seemed that Lance wanted to be alone more than anything and Ron did not feel like having the male version of Hermione slagging him off and giving him a lecture he wasn't in the mood to hear.

Christmas came sooner than anyone expected. Y/N was back in the Adzumi estate with Rigel for the holidays and this time they actually had to attend the annual Adzumi Christmas ball. Y/N honestly would've been happy to stay at Hogwarts and not spend the holidays with Basilio and the Malfoy family.

They found themselves back in their old plain room. It would seem that Basilio had one of the workers (both Dalisay and Basilio refused to have house elves and would often go on long winded tangents at the dinner table as to why) had their old band, TV and movie posters taken down.

Y/N didn't even know if they had any nice clothes to wear for the ball. Normally Y/N remained in some warm pyjamas but this time, almost everybody in Basilio's circle had heard of them being the "unsortable student" and Basilio had only agreed to let them attend because of it.

Harry had offered Rigel and Y/N to stay at his god-father's house but Basilio insisted, even though Dalisay was more than willing to let the two stay with Harry over the holidays.

The two Adzumi parents had to come to a compromise. They agreed that Rigel and Y/N would come back to the estate for a couple of days to get settled, stay with Harry for the remaining of the first week of their winter break then come back to the estate for the ball and New Years.
