He didn’t leave like I told him too.

In fact, he walked into my kitchen, put on the kettle and ordered me to tell me all about the twins. All the things he missed, their first words. Everything.

And I did.

I told him their date of birth, their first words, their full names, their favourite foods. I told him everything.

It took around two hours to tell him everything about them, and we were both very tired.

He sighed and ran his hand down his face, “I can’t believe I missed all that,” he murmured to himself more than anything.

“You’re not completely to blame. I’m at fault too, I’m sorry that I kept them from you Noah,” I whispered.

He scoffed and leant back further on the sofa, “You wouldn’t of ran if I didn’t cheat. If only I didn’t cheat on you with Alana. This would be all different.”

“But you did cheat, and you're happy with Alana. Right? Things worked out for the better; you’re getting married and everything. If you didn’t cheat, you wouldn’t be marrying the one that you love.”

He snorted and ruffled his hand through his hair, “How do you know when you’re in love though?”

I paused and thought about my answer- a bit surprised why he’s asking me this, “I guess you’re in love when just hearing their name brings an instant smile to your face, where the relationship is easy- it flows nicely. Even thinking about that person makes your day even better. That’s what love is.”

He was quiet for a moment before speaking, “That’s what I felt like when I was with you,” he said barely above a whisper.

I breathed in sharply, I had no clue what to say.

Fair enough, we were in love. But that’s the past, he’s getting married for crying out loud. Don’t let his words charm you Addison. Don’t let him start something he can’t finish.

“Things change,” I told him a bit too harshly.

“All those things you said; I don’t feel them for Alana. Does that mean I don’t love her?” he asked generally curious.

I shrugged one shoulder, “They’re your feelings. Don’t listen to me, that’s just what I think love is. But how should I know, huh?” I said flatly.

“Did you, I, uh, did you date anyone after me?”

I shook my head and folded my legs beneath me, “No I didn’t, Noah. Not many men wanted to date and teenager with twins.”

He looked a bit relieved, and he sighed again, “Can I be their dad? Like, them call me dad, I promise I’ll be the best dad ever.”

I took a moment to answer, “I know you will, Noah.”

He smiled and tackled me in a hug, it was just like old times.

The hug started to become something, we slowly pulled out of the hug then Noah brought his head closer, and closer.

In an instant, his lips were on mine. I don’t know why, but I kissed back. His lips massaged against mine as he brought his tongue over my bottom lip asking for entrance to which I granted him. His tongue danced with mine as he explored my mouth. He started to nibble my bottom lip to which I couldn’t hold a moan, I moaned into his mouth and that made him smirk slightly. Fireworks seemed to appear and sparks like no other were tingling my skin. He grabbed my thighs, bringing me over to straddle his waist.

When I kiss Noah it’s like my brain shuts off and my body takes over, mentally I’m screaming stop but physically I’m moaning for more. Literally.
