We had so much fun the days before and now he's being so short with me. It still hurts bit. I sigh and set an alarm for tomorrow morning before I turn on my side to hopefully fall asleep.

*Time skip to a month later when Sarah has her competition*

We arrive at the competition terrain and I take Autumn out of the truck. I haven't heard anything from Lando and I didn't try to reach out to him either. I didn't wanna push him too much. I bring Autumn to the stable. "Mum I'm going to get something to drink real quick" She nods and I go to the small cafeteria nearby. I see Flo when I'm on my way and I greet her shortly before I walk on. I get 2 bottles of water and when I turn around I bump right into someone. "Shit, I'm sorry. Sorry I wasn't paying attention." I ramble and look up to look at the person. I freeze when I see it's Lando. "Lando?" "It's alright don't worry" He nods "Hey.. Uhm... How are you?" I look at him. "Yeah yeah I'm fine. I'm here to see Flo" He nods. "Oh really? I thought you would have your own competition" I chuckle to try and lighten the mood and awkwardness. He chuckles lightly and shakes his head. "No I'm not. But good luck for you today" He nods. "Yeah thanks.. Wish Flo good luck too" I smile. "I will" He smiles softly and walks away. I walk back to my stable and sigh softly. That was really awkward.. I guess I'll try to talk to him after the competition. I hand my mother a bottle and take a few sips of my own before I put it away. I look at the time and decide to saddle up Autumn. I put on the saddle and see Lando standing in front of my stable looking at Flo. I see him glance at our direction a few times. I try to ignore it as much as possible and just do my thing. I go to the arena with Autumn and get oon

After riding him warm it's my turn to go into the arena. I sigh nervously right before I ride in. I make a couple of mistakes during my turn. When it's over I go out of the arena with Autumn. I sigh "Not your fault bud.. I was not in the right headspace.." I get off and give mum a quick hug. "Are you alright darling?" She asks quickly. I nod "Yeah I'm fine, I was really nervous so I was making a few mistakes" I nod. We walk back to the stable and I take the saddle and everything else off. When I'm done I look at the tv screen and see Flo is on. "Mum I'll go to the arena" I smile and I walk to the arena quickly. I see Lando standing alongside the fence and I go stand next to him. Anything could happen now but I feel like I have to try.. He looks at me for a second before looking at Flo again. "How'd it go?" He asks without looking at me. I immediately get a warm feeling. "Honest answer? It didn't go that well, I made a few mistakes. So I'm not gonna end in the top 3 most likely" I smile and nod. He chuckles lightly and nod "Well maybe next time will be better for you" He looks at me and smiles. I nod and smile "Yeah.. Well at least Flo is doing good" I smile "Yeah so far she didn't really make any mistakes so we'll see where she's gonna end up." "Yeah I hope she'll win, she really deserves it" I smile. Lando nods and smiles.

When she's done Lando walks over to the arena exit and talks with his sister. I go back to Autumn and go into his stable. I brush him a bit and spend some time with him. I'm not bothered to go to the price giving. Flo did good. She's 2nd but I already know I've got a low score anyway so I decided to stay with Autumn. I'm sitting in his stable next to the hay he's eating for about 10 minutes when I hear someone call my name. I realize it's Flo calling my name and I get up "Hey" I smile. "Hey, I'm sorry it didn't go well for you today.." "No don't worry.. It was my own mistake" I shrug "But congratulations for you!" I get out of the stable. "Thank you. Well next time will go better for you I'm sure" She smiles. "Yeah probably. I just need to chill down my nerves a bit" I chuckle and I grab my water bottle and take a sip. "Hey have you maybe seen Lando? I can't find him anywhere?" She looks around. I look at her confused. "What? No.. No I didn't see him anymore after you finished. I have no idea where he is?" She nods slowly "Can you maybe help me find him? We were supposed to have dinner all together but he's gone and not picking up his phone." "Yeah sure" I nod
