In love with Lando Norris

#Surgery day

I look up at him again and we share the same moment as before, staring into each other's eyes. I see a smile forming on Lando his face as he slowly starts to lean in.

Suddenly a nurse walks into the room. Lando quickly stands up straight again and looks at the nurse in slight panic. Shit... What if she didn't walk in. We could've had our first kiss. I look at the nurse as well, my mind still wondering off to the little moment minutes ago. "Hello love, I came in to inform you that you can't eat or drink anymore after midnight" She smiles friendly. "Alright got it" I smile softly and Lando helps me back in bed carefully. “Do you need help sir?” She looks at Lando, almost drooling over him. I can't help but get slightly jealous. And he isn't even mine. “No it's alright, I got it. But thank you.” He lays me down in bed and covers me up gently. “How is the pain in your leg Sarah? The nurse is here now anyway so if it's bad she could maybe get you some painkillers” I glance at the nurse. It is actually hurting quite bad but I just want the nurse gone. “No it's alright. I'll be fine” I smile and nod. “Do I need to make the couch ready that you can sleep on there Sir? Or are you going home for the night?” The nurse looks at Lando again. I really need to do everything to keep myself together not to lash out to the nurse now. “Oh that would be nice, thank you” Lando nods as he sits down on the chair next to me. “Are you nervous for the surgery tomorrow?” He looks at me. I see the nurse walk passed him to get the couch ready “Yeah... I'm a little nervous, but I guess they know what they're doing” I smile softly.

After a couple of minutes, what feels like hours, the nurse finally walks out of the room again. Thank god.. “Is there a race you really want to visit some day?” Lando randomly asks me. I look at him, slightly taken back by surprise. “Ehm” I stay quiet to think a little. “I think either like, Monaco or Singapore. But Bahrain or Abu Dhabi are also on my bucket list I think” I chuckle “Well how about I take you to Singapore? For the race weekend” My eyes widen “Are you serious?” Lando nods “Yeah, you do need to recover well before that though, because with all the respect, a wheelchair wouldn't be very handy” He chuckles. “No I know. But I think I'll be recovered by the time of that Grand Prix” “Yeah I hope you are, otherwise it's gonna be a very long recovery” I nod “Yeah, but you wanna take me for the entire weekend?” I look at him “Yeah, it would be weird to let you fly over just for one day, so I thought you could just spend the time with me that I'm in Singapore” I smile big “Thank you so so much Lando”

It's the next morning as I get woken up early by the nurses. “Good morning miss, you need to get ready for surgery. I've got the things you need to wear here for you” She puts it all down on my bed “And this is some of the medication you'll need, take it with a bit of water and that's all” She puts it on the table and is already out of the room before I can say anything. I blink a few times and wipe my eyes. I yawn and look at Lando, who is still peacefully asleep on the couch. I can't even reach the medicine, she put them too far away on the table. I grab the surgery clothes. As long as Lando is asleep I guess I can easily change in here. I change as quickly and quietly as I can trying not to wake up Lando.

After I'm successfully changed without waking Lando I look at the medication again. That's still a problem. I look at Lando. “Lando?” I say softly. I really don't want to wake him up but I have to if I want to get the medication. I suddenly realize I can just as easy call in the nurse. I press the button and wait patiently.

I get the medication from the nurse and I swallow them. “Can you maybe wake him for me?” I ask softly and nod at Lando. I'm starting to get very nervous now and I hope Lando might be able to calm me down... She nods and wakes Lando. He sits up quickly and looks at me slightly worried. “Good morning Sarah” “Hey, good morning” I smile softly. The nurse leaves the room again and Lando and I talk a bit until the doctors come to pick me up for surgery. “Okay, bye Lando” I smile nervously “Bye Sarah goodluck, I'll be here when you get out of surgery” He smiles and hugs me. I hug him back without any hesitation and close my eyes. “Thank you” I Whisper. Lando pulls away and they take me out of the room.

*A few hours later*

They bring me back to the room when I'm awake a little bit again. I'm still a bit high because of the narcotics and from the morphine. I look around and see my parents and Charlie but no Lando. They put my bed in place and the doctor talks to my parents for a bit before they leave.
