Who's he?

Steve's POV,

That night I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stop thinking about Nat's word's "she's not just a friend" I didn't know how Nat knew that Lana and I were together just by meeting her but hey Nat could always read me like a book. I woke up this morning, like I do most mornings, to Rose jumping up and down on my bed

"Wake up daddy" she shouted with a huge smile on her face

"Why are you so happy this early in the morning" I asked curiously

"Because I get to see mom" she replied

I smiled "okay I'll get dressed and make us some breakfast then we can head down and meet mom okay"

"Okay" she replied as she jumped of my bed and hurried to the kitchen

After breakfast Rose and I went down stairs where the rest of the avengers were "where's Nat" I asked curiously

"She went to go pick someone up from the airport" Clint replied

I furrowed my eyebrows "who?"

"I don't know, I didn't ask, she said she'll be back later" he replied

A few hours went by, we were all hanging out together when we saw a black car pull into the drive way.

"That's her" Rose said excitedly as she got up

"What makes you so sure" I asked with a cocked eyebrow

"Who else could it be" she asked

I chuckled and shook my head

The door opened to reveal none other then Natasha Romanoff herself  "Hi" she said with a smile on her face

Rose looked out the door, then at me, then at Natasha "who's he" she asked pointing her finger outside the door

I couldn't see who it was because the door wasn't opened all the way

"Umm this is Sean we worked together while I was gone" she replied with a small smile

The door then opened further and I could see a tall muscular man with brown hair

"Come on in" Nat said motioning her hand towards the door

"Hi" he said with a friendly smile and a wave of his hand

"So you Red's new boyfriend" Tony asked

Sean chuckled and shook his head "no, uh, we're old friends"

"Yeah we've heard that before" Tony joked

"Hey be nice he's not used to you guys and I don't want you to scare him off" Natasha said with a smirk on her face

"Oh they could never do that" Sean said with a smirk on his face

Nat laughed

Nat then introduce him to everyone

"Sean this is Steve, Steve this is Sean" she introduced

"Hi" he said with a extended hand

I gave him a angry look I'm pretty sure I scared him because he retracted his hand, looked away and started a conversation with Bruce.

"Can I talk to you" I asked Natasha

"Umm sure" she replied with a shrug

We then walked into the kitchen making sure that no one was following us

"So you have a boyfriend" I asked

"Sean is not my boyfriend, we've been friends for years" she replied with a chuckle

"Yeah then how come I never meet him" I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest

"He's a spy he's very busy" she replied nonchalantly

"A spy you brought a spy in here" I asked in a very concerned tone

"Relax he's not gonna say anything" she stated

"Yeah what makes you so sure" I asked

"Because I know him he's not that kind of guy" she replied

I looked at her for a second and stared into her green orbs. There was a rush of jealously forming around me and I couldn't stop my words from flowing.

"Did you sleep with him" I asked angrily

"What, no" she said in a tone that made it seem absurd

"Come on Nat I know you" I stated

"You know I could ask you the same thing did you sleep with Lana" she asked with a cocked eyebrow

I chuckled "I'm not that kind of guy"

"And you think I'm that kind of girl" she asked

"Well yeah, you definitely weren't a virgin when I slept with you, who knows how many men you've slept with" after I said those words I instantly regretted it "Natasha I'm sor-" before I could finish she ran outside, I went after her and grabbed her arm turning her to face me

"Let me go" she said angrily with tears in her eyes as she tugged her arm away

"Nat I'm sorry, I didn't mean it" I said

"Yes you did Steve, just let me go" she said

"No, not until you let me explain" I replied

All of the sudden I felt and arm pull me away from her, it was Sean.

"She said let her go" Sean said with anger in his tone giving me a death glare so deadly that if it were possible it could've killed me

"She's my wife I have a right to talk to her" I stated

I went to grab Nat's wrist again when Sean punched me at this point all the avengers were in the hallway watching, they all gasped. I went to punch him but Nat stood in my way she looked at me then to Sean with anger in her eyes.

"Sean I'm okay you can leave now" she said in a soft carrying tone

Sean scanned her face as if asking her for reassurance before he walked back into the living room with the rest of the Avengers.

"Steve are you okay" she asked concerned

"What do you care" I asked

She rolled her eyes "I know I hurt you, but you hurt me two with those words" she paused for a moment as if looking for the right words to say "Steve I love you, I always will but trust me when I say Sean is just a friend and I don't get why you care anyway you have a girlfriend"

"How did you two meet and don't say work because I know that's a lie" I said

Natasha sat on a bench outside the tower and tapped the spot next to her "sit" she said

I did as she asked and sat down beside her as I looked at her curiously

"When I was in the Red Room... I meet Sean he was the nicest person there he helped me...at night when the men would come to" she took a deep breath before continuing "rape me, Sean would always pull them off me then he would cover me up and lay me on his bed while he did his work after a few months he found a way for me to escape, I asked him to come with me but he didn't, he knew I would be okay...a few years ago he found me and helped me once again this time to end the Red Room for good" she stated

"So you feel indebted to him" I asked

Natasha shook her "no what he did was out of the kindness of his heart, he said that he saw more than a cold blooded assassin...when I left he sent me a new passport, license, etc. Told me to move on, I sent him divorce papers and that was it"

"Divorce papers" I asked almost yelling rage building up inside me

"Relax it was an arranged marriage we didn't love each other it was nothing" she brushed it off

"Why is he here" I asked

"He's my best friend I needed him here" she replied

"How long will he be here" I asked curiously with a little bit of jealousy lacing my voice

"I don't know a week maybe two" she replied with a shrug

I nodded
