This one was inspired by Dexter's love for Moriko.
For those unaware, Dexter and Moriko are childhood friends. Dexter has always loved her and she knows, but she thinks of him as a dear friend--as a brother at most.
Dexter accepts that, but he says he'll continue loving her. (Moriko is naturally very affectionate so people sometimes assume they are a couple)

When I look at the night sky,
I see radiant stars that shine;
When I look at you smiling softly,
I wonder, is it possible for you to be mine?
I've always admired your leadership,
It helps us find our way;
I've always admired your smile,
It never fades no matter the day.
How you could still find hope,
Even when it seems there's no reason to try;
How you could still find joy,
Even when you had the most reason to cry.
I love the way you'd grin,
Finding and giving cheer to us all;
I love the way you'd inspire,
Proving that we can rise above it all.
But I know my fate is not to be with you,
I accept this destiny entirely;
Because I am a mere observer,
While you're a star shining ever so brightly.
