This poem is dedicated to my cat whom had passed away a few minutes before.

Her fur was like bark,
Shades of brown and black too;
Her eyes were like hazels,
A pretty goldish-green hue.

Even when you were in pain,
You never meowed angrily;
You tried saving us from the trouble,
Of helping you stay healthy.

Even when your kittens were crushed,
By that tumour in your belly;
You accepted it all and kept quiet,
A kind of solemn dignity.

And once you felt your end very near,
You cuddled up to mother lovingly;
Who fed and took you in,
Despite all the kicking and mockery;
You loved her dearly.

You were so kind and gentle,
To bathe your feline friend;
Who was lazy and fatter,
But you loved him no matter.

But now, God has called you back,
So, it is time to let you go;
To a world far better than this one,
We'll always remember you, Roko.
