Chapter 5
Alison's P.O.V
Beep...Beep..BeepI try to open my eyes but they feel heavier than ever. I wait a few seconds before opening my eyes slowly. Strands of small light shine through the closed window blinds. The faint light of the many screens of the medical machinery allow me to see the room better. I feel slightly annoyed at the constant beeping and buzzing sounds of the machines.
I struggle to recall how I ended up in the hospital. It's much more difficult than I expect as I continue my efforts to remember. My head pounds with a horrible headache. Realization hits me like a brick, all memorize rush to my head. The accident, the dunk driver, someone saving me, I know someone was saved me but I can't remember who it was. All I see is a blur when I try to remember how that person looked like.
There are machines all around. All these wires are connected to me, pumping who knows what into my body. Its freaking me out. I swing my left arm to my right arm to pull the wires out but even though I'm giving all my strength I can't move my arms. I feel too weak.
I let out a small scream of frustration. Suddenly the nurse comes in. "I'm happy to see your awake I'll get the doctor and your family," she says with a warm smile. She's wearing all white matching with the all white boring room I am in. I don't reply instead I watch her leave.
A few minutes have pasted.
April rushes to my side. Her usual happy brown eyes are now red and puffy. She pulls me into a bear hug.
" I thought you were gonna die!" She whines. Tears threat to come from my eyes and I hug her back tightly with little strength I have. My dad, who I didn't even know would come to the hospital, is watching silently in the corner of the room. coward. " That was a close one luckily someone was there to save you," April says letting go.
"Who?" I ask curious.
"Who knows." She replies with the shrug.
"What about the drunk diver," I ask looking at dad. He's been standing there like an idiot this whole time with out saying a "are you okay?" "I love you" or " I'm happy to see you" but nope all I get is silence.
He looks up at me and I'm surprise his eyes are red too. I always thought he wouldn't care if anything like this happened. I mean- you can't blame me, he's always telling me he hates me, never showing any affection towards me.
"He died." he sounds...angry. I smile a little.
The doctor walks in. Shes dressed in white too. "Glad to see you're awake Alison," she says with a smile. I nod. he take out some papers and looks at them for a few seconds. " Well you didn't break any bones but you did hit your head pretty bad. You do have some stitches, try not to touch them, okay?" She asks. I nod.
"Luckily someone was there to save you if they wouldn't have been there I'm sure you wouldn't only have some small stitches," she smiles again. I return it weakly.
"How are her stitches?" Asks April.
"Not to bad. As I said earlier: try not to touch them but you do have to come back to the hospital to check how your stitches are doing. You did have some cuts but surprisingly they healed extremely quickly and well."I cringe at her response. "well I'm give you some private time." he nods toward me and leaves the room. April comes back to my side and gives me another bear hug.
" I'm so glad you're okay ally! If you died I don't know what I would do with out you!" She says. I hug her back this time I feel better than I did when I woke up. "well I'm alive so there's no need to worry," I reply. she smiles.
