Hey Guys💜

I'm back with another story....Enjoy

I sat anxiously in the car as my mum made her slow way over to Jai's house. I'd never been to a sleepover before, and I was excited as it was going to be me, Jai Reem and Avneet. But I couldn't help being nervous, and not just because it was my first sleepover. It was the fact that Avneet was going to be there.

I had the biggest crush on Avneet ever since school had started; I didn't really know why to begin with. It appeared before we were even friends or knew each other, just a feeling or a connection or something. And then when we became friends it just got slowly worse. And we have fallen DEEP.

It was that moment I noticed my leg bouncing, a habit I had picked up when nervous. I stopped, only to start again a few moments later when I stopped paying attention.

"Are you okay?" my mum asked for the trillionth time.

"Yes, just nervously excited" I replied, putting on my best fake smile.

The rest of the car ride felt long despite it being a fifteen minute drive, and passed quietly. Once I arrived I quickly said goodbye to my mum and walked up to the door with my things, and rang the door bell.

"COMING!!" I heard being shouted from inside.

I waited on the doorstep, my heart beating abnormally quickly from the mixture of emotions passing through me. Just then, the door opened.

"Hi bro!!" Jai exclaimed, pulling me forward into a hug.

"Hi!" I replied, and we both giggled as we pulled apart.

"Come in!" he said, stepping aside to let me pass.

I stepped into the house and put my stuff on the mound of bags piled up in the hallway. It appeared everyone else was here judging by the stuff and the giggling coming from the living room. I walked through closely followed by Jai and sure enough, both girls were jumping around on the mattresses laid out on the floor.

"YOU'RE HERE!!" they both shouted at the same time, and I laughed as they came flying towards me.

Reem reached me first, tackling me in a hug, and we both fell tumbling onto the mattresses. Laughter filled the room. Avneet then offered her hand to help me up, and I felt heat flow through my face at her soft touch. She helped me stand and then pulled me quickly into her warm embrace. I felt my heartbeat rise quickly, the hug lasting slightly longer than with my other friends, as our hugs always did. Once we pulled apart we sat down on the mattresses with Jai And Reem. That was when Jai's mum walked into the room.

"Hey everyone! Pizza will be here in half an hour, I'm going to stay upstairs out the way. If you need anything just call me. Have a fun night!"

We all said our 'thank you's and 'you too's in response and Jai's mum smiled, leaving the room and heading upstairs.

"I have a game we have to play" Jai practically begged.

We all looked at her with a curious excitement. Then Jai turned to me.

"Do you remember a few days ago when I was telling you about the question game I came up with?" Jai asked.

Oh no.

"yes..." I replied slowly.

Jai grinned at me. I put my head in my hands as the others had playful smirks on their faces.

The question game, as it had been named, was a game to find out more about people. You wrote down questions on a piece of paper, many of them, then put them in a bowl and shuffled them up. Everyone would pick them out one by one, and whatever the question asked you had to answer honestly. The problem was that if you asked an embarrassing question you could end up pulling your own one out and having your plan backfire on you drastically. Sounded innocent, was actually DEADLY.

Sighing, I said, "fine, go on then."

The smiles from everyone else put me on edge. We all turned around and wrote down our questions, I tried to make sure I didn't ask any that could come back to haunt me later on in this game. However, when I turned around and saw the faces of my friends I realised they had definitely not taken the same approach.

"Okay!" Jai said, taking all the questions and shuffling them up in the bowl.

Turning to me yet again, he said "you're the only one in this group who hasn't played this game before, you go first."

I looked at everyone, swallowing nervously. I reached my slightly shaky hand into the bowl and picked out a slip of paper, carefully unfolding it. Reading the question I felt my heart stop.

Do you have a crush on anyone in this friend group?

What's worse, it was scribbled in Avneet's unmistakable handwriting.
