My alarm woke me up on time for once. I rolled over, and tapped the snooze button on my phone, shaking the sleep out. I was kind of excited for today, but also pretty nervous.

It was about eight in the morning, pretty early for me, but I managed just fine. Getting dressed on my own was getting easier, thank goodness. I wheeled into the bathroom and looked at my face. My face was pretty scruffy.

"Hey Kat!" I called for her, as I heard her shuffling around in her bathroom down stairs. I leaned out the door waiting for her.

She poked her head out of the bathroom, toothbrush in hand. "Wath up?" She questioned, foamy toothpaste in her mouth.

"Can we go to that shop in town on the way?"

She half-squealed, half choked. "Mm" she coughed and held up a finger, signaling me to wait.

After rinsing she came back," Did you text him?"

"Yea, and thanks for not telling me his name," I chuckled, she rolled her eyes "anyways, you think I should shave?"

She pondered for moment, staring at my scruffy face. "Hang on." She dashed back into the bathroom and then hopped up the stairs with a deep red plastic case in hand. "Here"

"Ah, finally." It was the case for my clippers. She took them from me after everything that happened. "So what do you think?"

"Trim it, you'll look better without baby face or a scraggly not beard." She said, patting my shoulder.

She went back down stairs to finish getting ready; I'm pretty sure she was mostly excited to go out with Jay today, and probably humming to herself as she put on makeup.

After trimming and getting ready, Jay came over and picked us up, Kat explaining that we'd be stopping at the shop. With no objections, we went on our way.

The weather was nice, not too hot and not too cold. It was the end of summer, so autumn was just around the corner. It had been a couple days since I'd been out of the house, and i was excited to get out go to more places than just P.T..

When we got there, Kat hopped out of Jay's truck, and opened the door for me, I hadn't really realized when getting in how high up it was; thankfully, however, I was able to support myself with my arms, and stand a bit while Kat struggled with the chair, eventually getting it open.

The walls in the shop were a muted green, with a geometric patern in white on top. All the shelves were dark wood, and each one displayed various skin care products, snack style foods, clothes and accessories. I wheeled over to a display of snacks, picking up a purple package, flipping it over it had a picture of a squid on the outside, and some peppers. Jay crinkled his nose.

Spicy squid I guess. It sounded good, so I held onto it. I turned to look around and I was met with a pair of sea glass green eyes staring at me from behind the counter. Before I could walk over and talk to him, Kat walked past me and Jay.

"Dee! Aw you took out your extentions?" She fake pouted.

This was Dillion? His hair was twisted into bouncy colorful ringlets, varining from teal to lime green. His dark skin warmly tanned, and he looked a little less muscular but likely taller than me. He was ...actually really hot.

He laughed, a warm chuckle, inviting and friendly. "Yea, it was time." He leaned onto the counter crossed arms, resting his head in one hand, and winked at me from the other side of the counter. "You're Marlowe?"

"Uh, yea." I could feel myself blushing "I said I'd come by, right?"

He laughed again,"You did, you did." He glanced down to the pack in my hand "oh, those are the like really really spicy ones, here," he walked around the counter, and grabbed a lighter purple package "these are hot but not burn your face off hot." As he handed it too me he grabbed my hand with his free hand, inspecting it.
