keana could feel her agitation growing as she watched the lady in front of her continue to rant about the color schemes not matching what she had had in mind, forgetting that she had wanted the color in the first place. keana glanced at the man besides her - the oh-so quiet fiancé - and raised an eyebrow at him, watching him briefly and catching his eye before he looked away quickly. pussy she thought and sighed under her breath, closing her eyes and opening them, eyes locking with the bride who had finally finished her spiel. "well? what do you have to say about this? this wasn't what i wanted for the color scheme!" keana smiled, slow and deliberate, as she continued watching the lady. "ma'am, as i tried to explain to you earlier before you interrupted me- this is the color scheme that you had wanted for the wedding invitation. you might think it looks different but it's not. we cannot change something that has already been sent out to be delivered." her voice was calm yet firm as she talked to her client, regretting more than ever that she had taken her on after her co-worker lilah had wanted to switch with her. she could admit that she had been interested in the money because lilah had established that they were old money and could afford to splurge on anything. she wished she had stuck out with her other client that she gave away to lilah instead because she was suffering the consequences of her actions. what annoyed her even more, is that they were only halfway through with the wedding planning and she was already tired of this shit. "well call the invitations back or something! i'm the client and you're supposed to cater to our needs and my need is that I want to change the color scheme for the invitations!" her client - candice soon-to-be fuller - started back up on her rant and keana wanted nothing more than to reach across the table and hit but since she was a professional, she refrained and instead tuned her out and tried to think of a solution to this problem. she knew a couple of people that worked at the post office that she could ask to stop the invitations from going out while she worked with candice on having a new color scheme for the invitations. she grabbed her telephone and quickly dialled up the biggest post office first, knowing it would get the message out quicker. "and another thing- what are you doing? are you not listening to a word i'm saying?!" she looked at her client, seeing her checks starting to become red in what keana could only assume to be frustration and anger. "ma'am, I'm solving the issue so if you would let me do my job then that would be much appreciated." she smiled at her and focused back on the call, ignoring whatever else she had to say and instead issued out orders to the guys at the post office. it was going to be a long day.

it was nearing 15:30 and keana was done for the day. she started packing up her stuff and getting her bag ready to leave before a knock interrupted her. she looked up and saw her co-worker marcus standing in the doorway, looking all types of fine. "you heading out?" keana nodded, making sure that everything was in order before getting her office keys out and circling around her desk, standing in front of marcus. "why are you asking me questions you know the answer to?" she raised an eyebrow and he chuckled, a sheepish smile displayed on his golden brown face. although keana could admit he was good-looking, he just wasn't her type at all. "i was wondering if you wanted to go out later?" she was taken aback because marcus always went around the subject and never fully saying that he wanted to take keana out. she smiled in an apologetic manner and internally sighed. "i'm sorry marcus but i have a daughter to look after and you know this. i don't usually have a babysitter for her on weekdays and considering it's a wednesday, i definitely can't go out." "another time then?" he looked at her hopefully and keana internally winced at having to let him down. "sorry marcus, you're just not my type." she looked at him as she said this and she could see a brief flash of anger pass across his face before he nodded and stepped aside, letting her pass through the door so she could lock her office door.  she smiled at him and walked away, heels click-clacking as she headed to the underground parking lot.

keana worked as an events and wedding planner in houston at one of the best wedding and events planning businesses there was. chantilly weddings and events was one of the best in terms of planning weddings and events with the clientele ranging from both the elite and rich to the average person. the place was owned by one of her best friend's, chantelle williams and herself. her and chantelle had always had an eye for event planning, with keana more into event planning and chantelle more into wedding planning. when they had graduated and had interned at their separate places, they realised that they were better off having their own business and through a lot of hard work, sweat, tears and networking, they opened their business as an events and wedding planning one. they were about to hit the three year mark since they first started out and business was booming more and more. keana enjoyed both wedding planning and events planning but events planning was more special to her since she was a lot more skilled in that department.
