the day of the surprise party had finally come and keana was making sure that everything was going smoothly at the venue where the party was taking place. having started her day earlier than usual, keana headed to luxe where she assisted in organizing with the setup, ensuring the drinks were ready and available and that the dj was setting his area up and no issues would occur while doing so. keana looked at the watch on her wrist and noted that there was three hours left before the party started. in that time, she needed to change into the outfit that she had planned out and then make sure that any last minute details were sorted. she wanted this event to make a lasting impression because she knew the kind of pull a man like aubrey could do for her business. celebrity clientele like him didn't come easy and she was making sure that everything would leave a mark on him so he could consider her for future events. if he recommended her as well- then that was even better. keana's assistant - naomi - walked up to her as she was setting straight a chair and keana took in the look on her face and knew that something had gone wrong. "oh no. what happened?" naomi hated to be the bearer of bad news especially when her boss was stressed enough already but this was something that couldn't be helped. "the caterer just called and she's down with the flu and the backup caterer is also sick as well. food poisoning, apparently." keana could feel a headache forming and she pinched the bridge of her nose before exhaling. she mentally counted to ten and then looked at her assistant. "call melanie. she's my emergency caterer and tell her to get her asap with her team. also tell her that it's a tight time limit but i'll make sure to add a bonus to the money she'll be paid." naomi nodded and quickly pulled out her phone and walking away as she made a call to melanie. keana needed to head back home to get ready and then make it back just before the guests started arriving so she grabbed her bag from where she had carefully placed it and headed to her car, praying that everything turned out smoothly.
