keana pushed away from her desk, standing up and stretching as she felt the ache in her back loosen. she yawned and blinked, trying desperately to shake away her fatigue. she had work in two hours and she had not slept a wink because she needed to prepare for the important client that would be coming in later in the day. friday had finally arrived and keana was a little nervous, though she didn't know why because she was usually confident and relaxed when she was going to meet an important client. still, keana was confident in her work and always produced the best results when it came to event planning.

glancing at her watch, she saw that it was 05:30 and packed up her files and putting them away into her laptop bag along with her laptop before heading to her bedroom to take a shower. considering it was slightly dark out, she switched on her bathroom light and let it illuminate the rest of her bedroom instead of switching on the bedroom light. she turned on the hot water and let it run for awhile while she put her hair in a bun and took off her sweatpants and t-shirt. knowing that the water was probably hot by now, keana stepped in the shower.

"kori, i'm going to need you to stop moving so much sweetie." keana laughed as her daughter moved again while she was combing her hair as she tried to put it into a slick bun. kori hated waking up for daycare but it was necessary since keana couldn't find a full-time nanny at the moment and while keana knew kori didn't mind daycare, she still hated the idea of waking up early especially since keana needed to be at the office at 07:30. "mama, i'm tired." she could hear the tiredness in her small voice and sighed, feeling for her and wishing she could just let her go back to sleep but today just wasn't the day. "i know baby, but mama has to work and you know i haven't found a nanny for you yet. when i do, you can sleep in all you want, okay?" she nodded reluctantly, a pout on her face which made keana coo. she kissed her forehead and let her down from the chair that she was sitting on to do her hair. she grabbed kori's backpack and her own bag and laptop bag before heading to the garage with kori trailing behind her. she unlocked the car and put all the bags inside and then lifting kori and securing her in her car seat. she closed the door and went to the garage door that connected the house and garage and locking it. she knew her security system was already in place so she headed back to the car and got in, turning it on and opening the garage door. she reversed the car and waited for the garage door to close before she sped off.

"girl, you were almost late." keana sighed as she walked into her office, chantelle right beside her. chantelle acted like she was two hours late when it was only 15 minutes. "i know. kori was tired so it was hard to wake her up." chantelle nodded in understanding and watched as her best friend sat down behind her desk, powering her computer on. "so we'll be closing early today since we have that client coming in. it'll just be you, me and the client with their people." chantelle never closed early, especially not for any client so keana knew that whoever it was, was someone who needed discretion and privacy, and not to mention was probably famous which surprised keana because she couldn't think of anyone famous that could know of them. "girl, is it beyoncé??" chantelle laughed and shook her head. "just know they're big." keana nodded at that and started with her work and chantelle knowing that was that, left her to her own devices.

at 13:00, chantelle informed keana that the client was going to arrive at 17:30 and keana called audree to pick up kori and look after her until she returned home, which she agreed with. audree had a spare key to keana's house, as did savannah, tamia, chantelle and zariya. at 17:30, keana could feel her palms sweating as she waited for the client to arrive. she heard chantelle's heels clicking on the floor as she headed her way and looked up from her computer as she saw her standing by the door, looking slightly nervous. "they're here. i'll go greet them and then head over here." keana nodded and chantelle walked away, leaving her door open as she did so. keana took a deep breath in and out, trying to calm her racing heart. she could hear voices outside in the main area and chantelle' voice although she couldn't hear whoever was supposed to be meeting her clearly due to the multiple voices that were talking. she focused back onto her computer, trying to distract herself. she could hear the voices moving closer to her office and chantelle's heels and their footsteps echoing in the empty office space. "-she's one of the best events planners there is and i know you won't be disappointed." she heard chantelle's voice and smiled at her praise, chantelle never failed to make sure people knew how good she was at her job. it was a given though, chantelle was proud of her best friend. "and there she is!" keana looked up from her computer to see chantelle standing next to a man wearing a black hoodie with a puffer jacket and nike gloves along with tracksuit pants that were black in color and nike shoes as well. his face was slightly obscured with a while nike cap. she could see the diamond earrings shining in the light and furrowed her eyebrows as she took in his appearance. he looked familiar and the beard that she could see made her even more certain that she had seen this man before. "mr. graham, this is one of the best events planners in houston, keana brown. keana, this is aubrey graham or better known as drake." keana's heart raced as he lifted his head and met her eyes, the brown captivating her and she felt her breath catch slightly as she took him in.

"it's nice to meet you, keana. i'm aubrey."

they finally met!!!
