What If...

Guess what? I decided to publish my first ever attempt of a WH one shot, the first thing I ever wrote in English. I'm not the most proud of it, but I hope that I improved. I wrote this one on Jimmy's birthday, on 17th of July, so it's been some time. I decided though that Timothy is too pure for The Union, so he's not part of it in this one shot – that's completely not a lie I've made up because I forgot he was part of The Union and I'm too lazy to change anything now. Like I said in the chapter called "The Story of Kingsleyrella", it was supposed to be for a one shot book, but I'll just post the one shots here, 'cause I want more content. I love the title of that book though, "The Tales of Eunchan". It sounds magically beautiful.

At a table next to the window of a small cafe, there are three teenagers sitting and chatting. They seem to have a lot of fun and discuss about something they're all interested in, which normally wouldn't really make sense in this friend group, since they're all quite different.

Close to the table, there's another one who just came. He put four drinks on it, looking at his friends with a large smile on his face.

  — Guys, while I was waiting, I thought of something... What would you do if you weren't part of The Union? asks Eunchan in a happy manner.

Dean and Jake start thinking while Timothy slowly raises his hand as if he was in class and wanted to ask a question. The look on his face screamed confusion.

  — But I'm not part of The Union. Do I have to answer too? asks the blonde with a really serious voice.

  — Yes, sais Eunchan, finally sitting at the table. Just imagine that you were.

Silence appears. No one's saying anything, the boys are either thinking of at the answer or are just straight up uninterested.

  — I'll go first, sais Eunchan enthusiastic. I would fight deliquents. Just like I do now, but a lot more often. It would be like a full time job, I'd be the superhero of these streets.

His eyes sparkle as he talks about this. He gesticulates a lot, which is not a thing that he does. It's obvious that he's way into this. The others just listen to him. Jake sometimes even nods.

  — So... Did you think of a superhero name? asks Jake quite intrigued by the idea of Eunchan being a superhero.

  — Eunchan, sais the boy with the same name, moving his hands in front of him like he just said the coolest thing possible.

  — Boring! sais Jake quite loud. Anyways, I thought of what I'd do too, I'd read more manga, maybe even create my own.

  — You're shit at drawing, comments Dean before sipping his drink.

  — I know how to do a stickman and I can make that stickman do things, so I'm basically qualified to do a manga, responds the orange haired boy.

  — And what would it be about? asks Timothy interested.

  — Eunchan the superhero. He inspired me.

  — Thanks, man, sais the boy who brought the drinks.

  — And other than that, I'd sleep more. I'm pretty tired now that I think about it, he sais, before looking at Dean. Can I sleep on you?

Dean turns his head slowly towards his friend. His look is almost piercing through Jake, as he furrows his eyebrows. He doesn't even have time to answer the question as a head finds it's place onto his shoulder. Jake starts to snore loudly in Dean's ear. The taller sighs and takes another sip from his drink.

  — I would've babysitted these two morons, sais Dean, sounding unbothered as usual.

He points first at Jake, and then at Eunchan. While the orange haired boy doesn't react at all, on the second guy's face, a big proud smile appears.

  — You, Tim? asks Eunchan.

  — If you weren't part of The Union, I wouldn't have anyone to share my knowledge about deliquents with.

All of the guys nod, thinking about how they didn't even listen to what he told them most of the time. Jake was the only one who sometimes cared to know some stuff from Timothy, but that was it.

Silence appears again. All of them, except Jake, who didn't stop bothering Dean, sip fairly loudly from their drinks. It's quite awkward, so Eunchan decides to break this unbearable silence.

  — So... Not a lot would be changed.

  — Wrong!

The voices of the other three teenagers are heard. All of them said the same thing at the same time.

  — Ok, fine, a lot would be changed.

That's the first thing that came to mind. My very first idea. It's quite basic, but I'm proud of how this chapter turned out only because I know that I can't do better. I'd actually love a manga created by Jake about Eunchan the superhero in which the art consists of only stickmen, not gonna lie.
