"They're gay for each other"

      I got this idea a long time ago, but my lazy ass started writing it today. It's late, but I love this idea too much to just leave it in the back of my mind.

  Jake and his friends sit on the ground looking at the sky and talking about nonsensical things, like they always do. The subject of the conversation changed from boring Union stuff to Jimmy and Jack.

  — So, how do you think they met? asks Eunchan curious.

  — I think they saw each other on the hallway, met in a closet and started making out, says Jake with a dumb smile on his face.

  — How could you say something like this? Didn't you hear that they fought? says Timothy.

  — Oh, then they made out after they fought. I imagine Jimmy saying something along the lines of "the blood in your mouth tastes good". He seems like he's terrible at flirting, Jake corrects himself.

  — They are not gay, Jake, comments Dean, bored of his friend's dumbness.

  — They're gay for each other, say Eunchan and Jake at the same time.

  They look at each other, smiling proudly. "I knew he was the smart one", thinks Jake.

  — They fought and Jimmy completely destroyed Jack. That's when this idiot started to respect him and follow him around, explains Dean.

  — And they made out after that, completes Jake.

  — No one made out! screams Dean annoyed.

  — Oh yeah? Then, how did your parents make you? asks Eunchan.

  — I-I don't want to give you that information, says Timothy.

  Jake goes closer to Eunchan and whispers something in his ear. Both Dean and Tim know what he said, so they rush to him and keep the blonde guy away from their dumb leader.

  — Calm down, I didn't tell him... yet, says Jake.

  While Timothy scolds him and Dean tries his best to make Eunchan forget what he thinks Jake told him, the blonde boy notices something.

  — Hey, it's them!

  Jake starts to smile in an evil way, gently pushes Tim to the side and heads over to the two people his friend saw. He's gonna ask them what happened, but not before saying:

  — I bet they made out. If they didn't, then I'll give you 500 won, if they did, you give me 500 won.

  — I'm not giving you coins again after the incident, says Dean with his eyebrows furrowed.

  — Come on, it was once!

  — You gave them to a woman, took her baby out of her stroller, put Eunchan in there and ran around the whole park with him, yells Dean disappointed.

  — I rented it, it was legal, Jake explains himself.

  — It was fun too, Eunchan inserts himself into the conversation.

  — Ok, it's a deal, says Jake before running to catch up to the two.

  The grass makes it a bit more difficult for him to run. It seems like Jimmy and Jack are really far away from him, but he's gonna talk to them anyway. He wants those coins. Also, he doesn't want to give 500 won to Dean. Those are the coins he found in Kenny's jeans. They're precious to him.

  It is a long distance, one which becomes smaller with every step Jake makes, but still a long one. He can't wait until he can walk with them and ask Jimmy what he wants to ask him. "Why did these two need to be on a date so far away?" thinks the orange haired boy pouting.

  Finally, after a run which seemed like it took forever, Jake ends up grabbing one of Jimmy's shoulders with his left hand, and one of Jack's shoulders with his right hand.

  — Hey there, my fellow Union members! How's life going? asks Jake in a really friendly way, like he always does.

  — What the fuck do you want? asks Jimmy visibly annoyed.

  — I wanted to ask your highness if it's willing to take its time to respond to an innocent and harmless question, says Jake in an elegant way, having one of his hands on his chest and trying to look like a gentleman. How did Jack's mouth taste like? asks him, completely changing his tone into a dumber one.

  Jimmy clenches his fist and throws a punch at Jake without giving even the smallest warning.

  — How could you ask something like this, you asshole? Jack's mouth!?

  — Oh, so you didn't make out? I guess Dean was right, says Jake a bit sad while holding Jimmy's fist like it's nothing. Well then, I'm gonna fuck off.

  Jake runs back to his friends with a sad expression on his face. "I guess I have to give Dean 500 won now". He sighs and looks at Eunchan like a sad puppy.

  — They didn't make out! yells him, almost crying.

  He starts to check his pockets trying to find the coin. He lost the bet. He can't believe this. After finding it, he aggressively puts it in Dean's hand and goes to comfort Eunchan. More like, goes to Eunchan so he can comfort him.

  — It's ok, Jake, I know they did make out in a parallel universe, says Eunchan while patting his friend's back.

  Dean and Timothy just sit there, looking at Eunchan and Jake. It was surprisingly quiet. Only Jake's sad sobs being heard. Until someone pops up:

  — Have you guys seen Jimmy and Jack? They started making out in the middle of the street. Get a room! complains Hugo Yoon, who appeared out of nowhere.

  — They what? asks Jake with a bit of hope in his gaze.

  — They made out. See? Hugo shows Jake a photo that he took of the two devouring themselves.

  They were fairly close to Yoosun high, partially hidden between two buildings and kissing each other like it's their last day on earth.

  — I-I won. They made out. Dean, give me the coins back and more 500 won! yells the orange haired boy with a huge smile on his face.

  He gets his money, then puts a hand around Eunchan's shoulders and walks away with him.

  — Let's put you in a stroller again and run through the whole park.

  — Yes, sir, says Eunchan smiling. You can tell me how babies are made too while you're at it.

  — Oh, yeah, I forgot.

 

   I had so much fun writing this! I feel like this is the pure chaotic energy in Jake's friend group. I love it.
