To Mend Her Broken Heart (Kija x Reader x Jaeha)

Chapter Four

"Thanks for sending me home, though it wasn't necessary" You say.

It was getting late and Jaeha had offered to walk you home despite your protest. Though you were secretly thankful that Jaeha actually accompanied you.

"No worries. I couldn't let a woman walk alone in the streets at night alone. You never what could be lurking in the shadows. Best no to let your guard down" Jaeha advise and you nodded.

"Thank you Jaeha-senpai" You say.

"Oh drop the senpai thing" Jaeha says with a small blush which made you chuckle. 

"Then... Jaeha" You call.

Jaeha's heart fluttered the moment you called him by his name. 

"C-Can we continue to meet?" You ask softly and Jaeha' eyes widen for a moment.

"Of course, I'll give you my number" says Jaeha as he takes out his phone.

You smile brightly as you take out your phone as well and the two of you exchange phone numbers. You smiled.

"Thank you Jaeha. I'll see you again!" You say and went back into your house. 

Behind the close door you lean against it while holding your phone close to your chest and you sigh contently with a smile still plastering on your face.

"What are you smiling about?" You jolted when you notice Kija in your house. 

"K-Kija-kun! W-Why are you here?!" You ask, completely surprised. 

"Yun invited me here but you weren't home so I waited" says Kija and your gaze softens. 

"The 'thing you had to do'... Is with him?" Kija ask as he glances out to the window to see Jaeha's figure walking further until he is gone. 

"Kija-kun, we're just purely friends and I had to thank him for saving me" You say as you make your way to your room with Kija following behind. 

"Y/N... You okay being near him?" Kija ask and you freeze for a brief moment. 

"Mhm. When I first lay met him at the library, I didn't had a feeling of fear. Maybe... It's because of him that I can slowly overcome it" You say as Kija follows you into your room. 

"Just... Don't get too close to him okay? I don't want you to get hurt ever again" says Kija with a serious tone as he places his hand on your shoulder 

You look at Kija and let out a small smile as you place your hand above his. 

"I'll be fine Kija-kun. I... Can overcome it" You say.

Kija sighs as he take a seat beside you on your bed. 

"I was really scared y'know? Not just me. Yun and your parents too. We feared that we have lost you" says Kija. 

"Kija-kun... If anything... I don't want to remember it now" You say.

"My bad, sorry" says Kija.

He then gets up and your eyes widen when Kija places a kiss on your forehead. 

"K-Kija-kun?"

"See you tomorrow Y/N" says Kija as he left your room, leaving you stunned.

That night... You had a dream. A memory from a few years back...

You were 19 years old, your last year of high school life. It was the end of the final exams and you were out partying with Kija and your fellow friends at a hotel sponsored by the school. 

"High school is over!!!" The student screams.

"UNIVERSITY HERE WE COME!!!"

You chuckle at how your classmates are so happy. But deep down everyone knows that it could probably be the last time everyone would be together like this.

Although 3 years of high school felt like a short time, it was definitely memorable. Nobody would admit but everyone had fun together as a class. 

"What's your plan now Y/N?" Kija ask as he hands you a drink. 

"I already applied for several Universities. But of course, I'm aiming for Kouka National University" You say.

"Wherever you go, I go too" said Kija.

You chuckled as the two of you toast your drinks and partied with the class. Late into the night, everyone was already tired and headed back to their hotel rooms. 

"*yawns* I'm tired" Kija mumbled tiredly.

"I'm still awake. I'm heading for a walk by the beach" You say. 

"Alright then, see you tomorrow Y/N" says Kija as he rubs his sleepy eyes.

After seeing Kija going back to his room, you made your way to the beach. You take a quiet stroll along the beach as you listen to the waves crashing to shore. 

You take a seat on the sand as you look straight ahead into the darkness while hearing the ocean waves and feeling the night, cool breeze. 

"Guess it's really over" You say softly, thinking about the hardships y'all have gone through within these three years. 

As you calmly listen to the ocean waves, you were suddenly ambushed by a mysterious figure as he knocks you unconscious and drags you away. And that was the beginning of your nightmare.

Your eyes shot open as you pant out a long exhale. You sit up from your bed as you held your head.

"Why is it coming back?" You mumble.

"Y/N! You awake?" Yun ask after knocking on your door.

You then realized it's already morning and luckily you didn't have any morning classes today.

"I'm awake Yun!" You say.

"That's a surprise. Anyways come for breakfast!" says Yun.

You quickly get out of bed and do your morning routines and went to have breakfast with your cousin. 

"It's rare to see you up this early. Especially when you have afternoon lectures only" Yun states.

"I got woken up by a memory" Yun freezes as he looks at you. 

"It's the day of our party at the hotel" You say.

"Y/N, let's not think about it okay?" Yun says.

You nodded and the two of you eat breakfast in silence. Afterwards, Yun left for school and you decide to kill some time by doing house chores. Later, you still had some time left so you decide to head to the library.
