To Mend Her Broken Heart (Kija x Reader x Jaeha)

Chapter Six

"It's you..." You say upon realization.

Jaeha smiles as he drops HIS keychain to your hand.

"I-I didn't realize" You say.

"You know, I thought I lost it for good. But seems like you've been treasuring it well" says Jaeha with a gentle smile which makes your heart flutter.

"If it's yours then, I'm returning it to you" You say.

"Huh? But isn't it important to you?" Jaeha ask.

"But it's originally yours isn't it? Jaeha I can't thank you enough for always constantly saving my life" You say.

"Keep it" says Jaeha and your eyes widen.

"B-But—"

"I trust that you'll be able to keep it safe" says Jaeha.

Your eyes widen as you glance at the keychain. If Jaeha is willing to trust you just for a keychain, then you can't disappoint him.

"I'll cherish it" You say and Jaeha smiles.

"It's getting late. I'll walk you home" Jaeha offers and you accept.

"Breaking news! Breaking news! Thr criminal that is previously charged with the suspicion of human trafficking has escaped!

It is said that he has been planning his escape ever since he had gotten into jail. All women and children please be careful!

Do not be out alone especially at night! Always have a male companion or an adult with you! If you ser any suspicious person, report to the police immediately.

Your eyes widen as you hear the news.

"Hm, Y/N-chan?" Jaeha calls out after realizing you stopped walking.

"Is something wrong?" Jaeha ask and you quickly shake your head.

"I-I-I'm okay! L-Let's go" You say.

Jaeha didn't believe you were okay but decides not to pressure you. Especially after seeing you tremble.

A few days later, you and Kija were discussing about the camping trip that your lecture had announced just before lecture has ended.

"Looks like we'll be going to the Southern Kai Island" says Kija.

"Sounds fun" You say.

Kija glances at you with a frown. He could easily tell that something is definitely bothering you.

"Y/N, are you feeling alright?" Kija ask as he places his hand on your shoulder.

You tensed.

"Kija-kun... H-He won't come after me again... Will he?" You ask softly.

Kija clenches his free hand into an angry fist. Of course. He'd knew you'd be scared when that news got released.

He was the one that caused your suffering after all. After that incident, Kija swore to protect you no matter what.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you Y/N" says Kija as he pulls you into a hug.

On the other hand, you hadn't notice that Jaeha was eyeing on the both of you. And he felt a pang in his heart when Kija hugged you.

He knew this feeling well. Jaeha finds himself falling in love with you. He shakes his head and quickly walks away, before anyone could see.

A few hours past and you were aimlessly wandering around the campus when you heard a familiar music playing.
