Son Chaeyoung's Point of View
"What took you so long?" I complained. Dahyun was just coming out of the student council's room.
"Yah. Sorry." Dahyun scrambled through her backpack. "I told you we would take long, didn't I?" Sarcasm was evident in her voice.
"Yeah. But Tzuyu left early and I didn't want to go home alone." I reasoned out as we walked past the corridors together.
"Aish. Then stop complaining." Dahyun joked. I rolled my eyes on her.
We remained quiet when Dahyun spoke out of the blue. "We talked about the upcoming school's anniversary." She referred to the student council. I nodded to acknowledge her.
"We need a creative team for the celebration. Your name's on the list." Eh? What is she saying? My face looked questioned.
"The school's in its 25th, so our sister university's going to celebrate with us. We need more hands and brains like yours, you know."
"You can't say 'no' to me, Chaengie?.I know you won't."
Suddenly, Mina got in my head.
"Plus, Sana plays a big part in the council. How can I say no to her, right?" I hear her in the back of my head, as if that moment was just yesterday.
Mina wouldn't say no, so I shouldn't too.
"Okay, okay. But if that costs me my grades, I'm blaming you."
"Don't worry. We won't be busy anytime soon." Dahyun assured me.
Dahyun and I were nearing our dorm when I caught sight of a vehicle parked in front of our place. It took me a second to realize whom it belongs to.
The car honked and a head peeked out. "Yah, noona!"
"Eh? That's Jeonghoon." Dahyun pointed out as we drew nearer.
Both front doors opened and I see my parents coming out. My heart raised as I paced faster to give them a hug.
"Chaeyoung, darling. I missed you so much." I was confided inside my mother's tight grip. Her voice was calming but full of excitement.
"Hey, leave some for pops." I hear my father chuckle. I walked to him and gave him a hug.
Gosh, I missed them so much.
"And look at you, Dahyun. Pretty as ever." My mom cupped Dahyun's cheeks as she greeted my parents.
"So, noona, who's the boy?" I turned my head to my brother.
"What?" I asked, looking confused at my brother.
"You're in your last year of high school, surely there must be a boy of some sort. Right, mom?" He spat without breaks.
Actually, he's a she.
My mom chuckled at my brother.
"You're already prying, eh? Why not give me a hug first?" I glared at Jeonghoon. He jumped in for a hug.
"You guys should come in." I offered, opening the gate of our dorm.
Tzuyu was sitting in the sofa as we got in. Her eyes were in shock as soon as she saw Dahyun and I with company. She stood up and froze in her position.
"Is this the Tzuyu you told me about?" I walked over to the kitchen, eyeing Tzuyu. I've never seen her like this before. She must be in shock.
"N-ne." She stuttered as she bowed.
