~8 YEARS LATER~
My eyes slowly open to find Sokka snoring more than usual; I slowly get up, trying not to wake Sokka or Katara. Sokka must have had a bad dream again and came into Katara, and I's room in the middle of the night. I soon see Kanna come over to the room, and I smile at her with my cloak hood off as I'm about to put it on.

"Good morning Kanna. I see you bright and early this morning; how is your morning so far?"

Kanna "It's good, thank you, I almost forgot you wake up this early; by any chance did you see Sokka in Katara and your room?"

"Yes, actually, I made sure when I left, he wouldn't hear me; he must have had another bad dream, the poor thing."

Kanna "So are you doing your daily practice, or are you going to be out a little longer like last week?"

"I'll let you know before I leave, but I'll most likely not because aren't Sokka and Katara going fishing, and I don't want them to see me practice."

Kanna "That's fine. I'll let you know when they are leaving, and then you and I can do some work around the area."

"Ok, thanks, Kanna. I'm going for a run before I leave, then I'll head out."

Kanna "You know you can call me Gran Gran right, your practically family now."

"You wouldn't say that if you knew who I was; well, I better go see you soon bye."

I start running away from the little village and begin to breathe out a fire to keep me warm. Zuko popped into my brain, and I remember that he should be 16 by now; given that I'm still 15, I hope his life got better after I left. I stop breathing fire as I enter the village again and see Sokka and Katara packing for their fishing trip.

"Hey, I thought you were going fishing later; what happened?"

Katara "Well, Mr. Leader here thinks that he's going to catch fish right now, so we're going now."

Sokka "Hey, did you want to come with us? I could use another non-bender help with catching fish."

"I promised Kanna that I would help around the area maybe next time, plus I have practiced before that I can never skip that."

Sokka "That's cool; maybe at some point, I can teach some moves that I know."

Katara "you mean falling on your butt and cry because you hurt yourself?"

Sokka "I do not cry; my eyes just get sweaty from the workout."

"Well, I better get going if I want to help Kanna see you guys when I get back."

I start running to where the fire nation ship was, and I start my practice off with water and then fire. I learned all the elements, including air, and would practice that way. I would never forget it because I know the Avatar is somewhere close; I don't know where. Soon I see a bright light come up, and soon I see through the spirits a kid talks to Sokka and Katara and hear his name was Aang; he must be the Avatar. I quickly start running back to the village; when I got there, I put my cloak up and start helping Kanna with everything.

Katara "Gran-Gran, look who we found inside an iceberg; he's an air bender, and his name is Aang, isn't that cool."

Aang "Hello, you must be Gran Gran. It's very nice to meet you."

"So, did you guys catch a fish, or did Sokka open his big mouth again, and Katara started yelling and break the iceberg that oh, what was the name, sweetie?"

Aang "Aang."

"Aang was in."

Katara "Sometimes I wonder if you're a spirit because you always know what happens, but yeah, that's what happened."
