12. Super-trouper

Valentina slowly opened her eyes, her right hand came up to rub her eyes as she yawned and began to stretch, she stiffened when she realised there was a weight pressing against her left side. A smile spread across her face as she looked down at the sleeping woman curled up beside her. A strange feeling of contentment washed over her as Juliana's warm body snugged against her. She considered closing her eyes and letting Juliana's slow and even breathing lull her back to sleep.

Juliana's head was resting on her shoulder, her arms wrapped around Valentina's left arm, hugging it tight, which explained why it had fallen asleep. Valentina tried to straighten her dead arm, wiggling her fingers, her hand slid over something warm and soft. Valentina's eyes widened when she looked down and realised her hand was resting on Juliana's bare thigh. When Juliana moaned in response, Valentina's body froze, her heart pounding furiously inside her chest. Oh God!

Juliana was beginning to stir, her face nuzzling closer to Valentina's neck as she tried to get comfortable again, her left leg moved over her right, trapping Val's hand between them. She moaned as she stretched, her chest pressing against Valentina's arm as she arched her body, her legs squeezing together as her left hand came up to rub her eyes before they slowly opened. A moment of confusion followed as she tried to remember where she was.

A few, very long, seconds passed with both women frozen in place, afraid to move.

Juliana tried to keep calm as she did a quick survey of all the places she was in contact with Valentina. Clearly, she had been the one to snuggle up as Val didn't look like she'd moved much. Shit! The two remained paralysed, neither wanting to break the connection but when Val's thumb, that was trapped between Juliana's legs, gently stroked her thigh, Juliana jumped. She closed her eyes and breathed slowly trying to calm her frantic heart.

Valentina hoped the caress would comfort her, not scare her. She considered pulling away but Juliana was still wrapped around her arm. She was about to ask her if she was okay when Juliana slowly tilted her head back to look at her.

"Good morning," she said, a sheepish grin spread across her face as she looked into Valentina's worried eyes.

Valentina sighed in relief. "Good morning."

"So... apparently, I like to cuddle," she smiled, her rosy cheeks showing her embarrassment.

Valentina laughed. "Yeah, I see that," she smiled, giving Juliana's thigh a light squeeze, startling the woman again.

Juliana took a sharp breath at the unexpected feeling between her legs, she clamped her legs shut as she gazed into Valentina's wide blue eyes, watching them darken in response.

Valentina nervously licked her lips, her mouth suddenly feeling very dry. She watched as Juliana's eyes dropped to her mouth to follow the movement of her tongue. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, she could feel Juliana's breath dancing across her skin as goose bumps began to appear. She shivered as she opened her eyes, every hair on her body standing to attention, like they were reaching for the other woman. "Juls..." she whispered. Valentina wasn't sure what she was asking for. Was she trying to stop this or encourage it?

Juliana almost moaned in response, she loved when Valentina said her name like that. "Hmmm?" she asked, still focused on Valentina's full lips.

Valentina's breathing was getting faster. Was this actually going to happen? No, it couldn't. She cleared her throat and shuffled back a little. "What time is it?" she croaked.

Juliana's gaze, which hadn't waivered from Valentina's beautiful lips, looked up in surprise. "Oh, um, I don't know," she slowly disentangled herself and rolled to the other side of the bed to find her phone. "It's almost ten o'clock, I should go," she said as she sat up, scolding herself. What the hell was that?
