It is dark.

All Twelve can see is an impenetrable black in his pupils, there is nothing else in sight for miles. There is something about the darkness that shakes the brown skinned boy to his core-something quite unusual about it. Something terrifying that lurks in it creates a large pit in his stomach with an anchor holding it down as it digs deeper and deeper....he doesn't know why it makes him feel this way but it does. Along with the silence that threatens to swallow him whole and sink him into the great abyss that the Cthulhu calls from, it wails and beckons with a great gasp that bounces off of him and into the depths of the Dark. It will always call to him but Twelve has to focus, he must listen to what is lost, he must tune in.

Under his closed eyelids, his pupils move rapid as if their searching within the darkness that conceals them until he finally reaches what he's looking for.

With a loud gasp; he's found it.

He opens his eyes. It is quiet. Despite what happened last time in here, the Dark usually isn't this quiet. Once he's in it begins to get loud but nothing is heard. Not a hushed whisper from a far thought, there is nothing. Only the tiny pitter and pats from his feet causing ripple effects in the Dark.

The Dark's floor is covered in black water but Twelve does not fall through; nor does Eleven, his sister whenever they travel together. It is weird but he doesn't mind it. As long as he doesn't fall.

He's terrified of falling.

There is something that makes him feel fearful to the sense of falling from a distance that is higher than it's supposed to be. The way his skin settles against the wind that is crashing against him so rapidly and the way the ground moves to get closer and closer to your eyes until you finally reach the end. The end of you. It is something abnormally horrific about the idea of hitting the ground at such high speeds; it is a fear that he will always keep deeply in his heart.

But then he hears it. The chitter, that terrible, terrible, terrible chitter, the noise freezes him up for a moment. And then a much more guttural growl comes from it bellowing belly. It is here.

Twelve finally turns to see it; it is sitting and chewing on something. He doesn't know what but he would rather not even find out. With one step he begins to walk towards it but his movements are shaky almost as if he was a puppet being forced. Tears are already prickling at his eyelids and as he's right behind it, he stops. He breaths heavily, in and out, but only stares.

As he stares the world around him detracts from the Dark and suddenly it begins to transform into something much more eerie.

The Dark turns into the Otherworld, it's plain existence makes Twelve tremble and it all materializes into a an unfamiliar place of reality. It storms with a large bolt of lightning striking right behind the boy but he doesn't flinch, he only stared at the creature huddled on all fours and chewing onto some kind of egg? He doesn't know exactly what it is but he terrified it to look at.
