Vee felt like he was freezing to death. Or at least, he was cold enough to feel as if he was. Like if he was laying in a giant freezer filled with little tiny pieces of ice. He opened his eyes and saw that he was pounding against something. Something that was hard but took the texture of a pink like goo. He saw a woman on the other side, crying her eyes out at the sight of the boy. His lips trembled from the cold and his stomach hurt, feeling like it was sitting on a bunch of needles. But then he heard a voice shout out to him."Will!"
Twelve shot up from his spot on the bed, a chill reaching down his spine. Will, it was him. Will was at a gate, well some sort of leak, but how did he get there? Why was there a woman on the other side? Did she open it? No. She looked normal. But did that mean . . . Will was alive?
The beams of the golden rays from the sun shined into Lucas's room and on top of his bed. Vee turned to the side of bed not seeing Lucas on the ground anymore. Sighing he looked around the room and saw a note on the door. Getting off the bed with a little grunt, he grabbed it and couldn't make out anything really. Other than breakfast or stay here.
Crossing his arms he looked around for a moment. If Will was alive he should be able to contact like he'd done many times before with others. His eyes lit up when he saw a supercomm placed on the nightstand that was next to the bed. He grabbed it and turned it on, static filling the room. He sat crisscrossed on Lucas's bed, trying to tune out every sound that was distracting him.
Focusing on statice until it filled his ears and eventually his eyes closed. Silence now overtook his eardrums, along with the small sniffles of someone. He had to focus, he needed to open his eye.
Opening his eye abruptly, he looked around for where Will could be. He eventually saw the boy. Crying and shivering in the home he saw him in before. It seemed Will saw him too but only looked confused and scared. Will didn't utter a word nor did Vee who just gave him a sad smile. He knew he was right, he knew it. Will wasn't dead.
The body was fake.
Vee opened his eyes and gasped a bit from his out of body experience. Blood leaked down his nose as Lucas came in the room with a plate of bacon and a biscuit but worry took over his face once he saw an exhausted Vee. "What's happened? Why is-"
"Will," Vee breathed out. "He's . . . alive."
Lucas scoffed, "Vee, I'm not in the mood for-"
"No! Truth! I saw him, in the dark place," Vee grabbed Lucas's arm so he would listen instead of walking away. Lucas squinted his eyes at the boy and noticed how his expression was desperate, minus the tiredness, which made him reconsider his opinion. But he saw Will, they all saw his body. How could he could alive?
Lucas just scoffed lowly about to walk away but Mike's voice was heard from the supercomm.
"Lucas, do you copy?"
