ONE MONTH LATER
"Fuck."
Vee stood in his bathroom that was connected to his room, the light humming from above, as he attempted to fix his Bantu knots that were uneven in his eyes. His hair had grown a bit longer than it was expected to grow and he surprisingly had enough hair to make it into a style for special occasions. His long pink dressed flowed down to his ankles with cute flowery socks, and small Mary Jane's. His makeup, which was done by Joyce, looked good. At least in his opinion it did. He was trying to finish up his touches with his outfit but he kept noticing small things that made him want to fix it.
"Almost...." Vee muttered from under his breath as he moved his knits closer to the middle, and eventually it stayed. "Yes."
"LIL' MEANCE! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!"
"Coming!" Vee dashed out his room and on his way he grabbed his jacket, making sure to not forget anything. He busted through the front door of the cabin and rushed down the steps into Ron's car, panting as he did.
Ron smacked his teeth. "Geez, it's about time." But a smirk played at his lips.
Vee rolls his eyes. "Do not rush me. I was fixing self."
"Whatever Sia...siaennies?"
"Siännanes."
"Fuck, that's a tongue twister. You sure humans were meant to say your name?" Ron asked the boy but he only replied with a shrug, he remembered his mother called him Sia but that was it.
"I think smart humans are." Vee replied with a smirk.
His guardian just rolled his eyes as the boy snickered very much fed up with the boy's sassy behavior ever since they'd move in together.
Ever since El closed the Gate and Vee exorcised the Mind Flayer out of Will, there had been a slight separation between the two. Ron wanted to take Vee in after all he had told him about Hopper but the chief wasn't having any of that-so for a while they argued over whether Ron would or wouldn't. Eventually, it was decided when the men just both took joint custody over the boy as his birth certificate was finally issued by Dr. Owen's.

It was weird knowing his full name after becoming accustomed to Vee or "Twelve" but Ron thought it was for the better for him to know. Owen's also explained why his powers had a sudden switch; it seemed to be tied to his mother constantly trying to contact him through his mind & dreams, so it triggered something within him. But what Owen's didn't understand was how was she doing it if she was deceased without a doubt. So, of course, the doctor began to research the last whereabouts of what happened to her the best he could, and he'd let Vee know if he found anything. But he told the boy don't get his hopes up as he didn't know what he would find.
