We're out of school for the rest of the week due to Senior ditch days. Me Jason Embry and Justin decided on the beach. Jason stopped by the trap to make sure everything is in order while he's gone. He never brings me inside so I waited in the car. Boys with guns stood outside the abandoned looking building watching his truck. He stopped to his mom's house to take a twenty minute shower and grab clothes. I sat in the living room with Anyssa while he did so. She sat on the couch looking pretty as we watched TV. She's in her late thirties but acts young. She's still out dating and being youthful. Her thin lips and nose compliment her caramel skin. She dimples and has moles in her face but they're pretty and she keeps her hair done. Right now she has a lace frontal in a low ponytail. It was slayed as always. She drank her wine while watching a Netflix series. "Princess you're such a beautiful young lady look at you looking like a doll." She said complimenting my attire. She's used to me dressing laid back. I smiled. "Thank you." I smiled. "What are your plans after graduation?" She asked. "I'm majoring in Nursing to be a phlebotomist." I said. "Great choice." She said nodding in approval. "Is Jason going with you?" She asked curious to know. "I want him to but I can't decide his future. I'm going to ask him again when it's closer to time." I said honesty. I don't want to make Jason come to college if that's not what he wants to do. There's plenty of other ways to be successful. "What y'all talking about mama." Jason said coming downstairs ready. "That's me and my daughter in law's business." Anyssa said. Jason smirked sitting beside me. Anyssa and I talked for a few more then me and Jason hugged her on the way out.

He stopped to my mom's house next. I let him walk me inside. My mom was burning candles in the living room and cleaning up. "Hey Miss Gabrielle." Jason politely said walking behind me. "Humph." Anyssa scoffed continuing to sweep. "Where's that girl you were with some nights ago." Gabrielle said. She doesn't care for Jason. She knows who he is and what he does. Everybody does. She calls him a street boy who is going to end up leaving me high and dry. She constantly tells me that Jason will leave me and he's not loyal. Maybe this is where most of my insecurities come from. I always tell Jason not to let her worry him because she's rude to him for no reason. "I'm sorry Miss Gabrielle you have the wrong person." Jason said with a confused face. Gabrielle looked at him blankly and turned her back still sweeping. I lead Jason to my room not saying a word. My mom often says things like this. She says he was with another girl and calls me stupid for thinking he wants me. Jason sat on my bed while I packed. He carried my bags to his truck. "Bye mom I'll be back in a few days. Senior ditch day." I said hoping for a positive vibe from her. "Yeah whatever." She replied. I looked down in disappoint. "Come on B." Jason said and we left.

Me and Jason were going to order Chinese when we got to the room but Justin preferred a late night restaurant. After we settled in our hotel rooms we met at a nearby burger joint. On the route I was chilling listening to the radio. "B." Jason said as he watched the road driving. "Hmm?" I asked sweetly. "It's not true. You know how your moms is." He said glimpsing at me. I sighed. "I know." I said. He looked at me and turned my face to face his. I looked in his dark brown eyes. "I'm serious." He said I nodded with my face in his hands. "Are you happy with me?" I asked him. "If  I'm not the girl you want anymore let me know." I said looking in his soul for an answer. He looked as if he was trying to think while I read him. "I'm more than happy with you. You're doing everything right. Any fuck up I ever make is on me. You're the perfect girl." He said. I don't know why but I felt a little insecure in this moment. I took note to what he said and looked in his eyes for a few more minutes. "Okay." I said in an unreadable tone. We pulled into the restaurant at the same time as Justin and Embry.

We were guided to a four seat table. Embry and I sat across from each other while Jason sat beside me on the outside. "What can I get you all to drink?" The waiter asked us. He was a handsome dark skinned tall guy. He eyed me. After everybody else ordered their drinks he said "And for you beautiful?" It caught me off guard. Jason gave him the "Nigga what did you just say?" face. I cleared my throat. "Um a lemonade is nice." I said. He smiled at me then walked away. "B I think the waiter guy has a thing for you." Embry said. Justin smirked. I shook my head raising my eyebrows.

Jason and I kept making eye contact. Guys have been trying to talk to me more lately and he is not feeling it at all. After the waiter came back with our drinks we ordered food. When he got to Jason he said "Let me have a bacon cheeseburger meal with another waiter." The guy looked at him confused. "Is there an issue sir?" He kindly asked. "You and me about to have some problems if you keep eye balling my girl." Justin thought it was so funny because it wasn't him. If the waiter had been flirty with Embry he probably would have flipped. Embry shook her head smirking. "Two instigators." I internally thought laughing on the inside. The waiter was startled. "Oh I'm so sorry sir I didn't know she was your girlfriend. What may I get for you?" He asked me. He was shaky now. "She'll have a cheeseburger meal with chicken tenders and another waiter bruh." Jason said with a straight face. He intimidated the poor guy. The waiter hurried and walked away. "Jason you about to bust a vein over there bro. Brielle not stunting that nigga." Justin laughed. "Man whatever." Jason said looking at me. It was cute seeing Jason jealous. He knows I'll never step out on him he just wanted to get that waiter out of my face.

Embry bursted out laughing as she mocked what Jason said to the waiter. "That's right my best friend is pretty." She said reaching for a high five from me with her tongue out. We slapped hands. I smiled and laughed because I couldn't hold it no more. "What's funny ma ma." Jason said grabbing my waist from the side. Embry and Justin laughed at us. We enjoyed dinner and headed to the room.
