Chapter 16

Brielle's POV

Me and Embry ate our food. We were nearly done. "She's still out here?" Embry said aloud in an irritated tone. I shook my head. The girl looked at us smirking like she was so happy. She was smoking her black and mild again but outed it as a car pulled up. I thought I was seeing things but I knew that was Jason. His truck is common but I can scope his out in a crowd. She smirked hard and switched to his truck. Jason's windows are tinted but I know he peeped me and Bri looking. She was more so by the entrance while we were further back but it was hard to miss us. I walked over there because it's my business and Embry followed.

He hopped out and went off on Hailee. "Bitch leave me the fuck alone it's dead." He semi pushed her back. "Really you said you were going to meet me for lunch babe. You're showing out because your ex is right here?" She said. "Ex?" I Repeated in a question with my face scrunched up. I guess Embry grew tired of her mouth because she hauled off and slapped the fire out of the girl. "Damn" I thought to myself. It sounded off so it drew attention. I hated this moment right now because I dislike attention on me. I don't know what kind of situation Jason has me in. "Jason." She screamed holding her face while he shook his head. "You're going to jail bitch." She snapped at Embry. "You think I give a mother fuck?" Embry said taunting her. I stepped closer to Jason and he flinched. I guess he thought I was about to hit him. I stood there rocking side to side as my hands rested on my hips. "You're just going to let her hit me knowing I'm pregnant?" She yelled really loud. Folks were looking as they normally would but they minded their business.

My heart dropped. I felt like like I was hearing things. Did this girl just say she's pregnant by my boyfriend? "Wait what?" I said looking at Jason with hurt eyes. He hung his head low. "You heard me I'm pregnant with his child. He told me he doesn't deal with you anymore aren't you in college." She said. "Really Jason." I said. He didn't have anything to say. "Yes bitch really." Hailee shouted at me. Embry jawed her in the mouth. Her lip was busted. "Damn."
Jason said. She held her lip crying. "Go home Hailee." He told her. I stood back and watched with my arms crossed. "Wow really fuck you Jason you'll never see your child." She stormed off holding her lip crying. She sped out of the parking lot.

I was hurt. I felt stuck. Embry was going off. "Brielle." Jason said snapping me back to reality. He grabbed my arm. "We need to talk." He said with pleading eyes. "Brielle let's go." Embry said. There was an ambulance truck passing by. I guess she thought it was the police. I know she didn't feel like going to jail she has school in two days. "I don't want to go home Bri." I said pathetically. "You're coming to my house. Let her go Jason fuck you for real." She said. He looked at me and I looked at him. "B come talk to me." He asked desperately. I shook my head. To save myself more embarrassment I left with Bri.

Jason punched his truck like a mad man and left. Just like you can imagine he called and called but I wouldn't answer. Texts from Jason read "I love you B." "I'm sorry." "It's not what it seems." "Baby we need to talk." I'm upset because I put my all into Jason. I opened up to him in ways I've never done with another boy. He's my first and only love. I can't see myself without him. I cried on the car ride to Embry's house. She was furious but she comforted me. "It's okay baby girl there's plenty of good men in the world. Just wait your time. These boys ain't shit for real." She said referring to Jason and Justin. "It's okay. It's going to hurt but you'll be okay I got you." Embry said rubbing my shoulder. I nodded and wiped my tears.

Embry posted her food on snap and Hailee was the first to view it. She clicked her story. Green words in all caps read. "If it ain't about me or mine it's unnecessary 🤷🏽‍♀️" She also shared a post that said "Your biggest mistake is thinking I won't get my lick back because I will 🤷🏽‍♀️" Embry made a snap singing along to Moneybagg Yo- U Played. I was too sad to laugh but my friend is on go. Embry bought us ice cream and we listened to Tink trying to soothe each others broken hearts.

No ones POV

Jason was sick. He sat in his truck in the garage. He blew Brielle's line but she wasn't answering any of his calls. He felt like shooting the whole block up. She had him losing his mind how she ignored him. He feels stupid. The whole situation caught him off guard and he was ashamed. He didn't know how to take Brielle. He thought she was going to beat his ass. He hated to hurt Brielle. She's so innocent she doesn't deserve this. He only slept with Hailee once but now he's regretting it. He doesn't even have a real reason why he cheats. Other girls eventually let Jason go after they see he's not leaving his girlfriend. They'll call him from time to time for a quick fuck but they didn't act crazy over him because they knew what was up. Hailee on the other hand was the worst girl he's dealt with.

He went in his room for the rest of the day. His mom was at work. He didn't even want to make money right now. He sent Brielle texts back to back. He was hopeful being that she didn't block him. Time went by and he just sat in his room thinking. He counted some money and thought the rest of the night.

Embry and Brielle got take out food and and talked. "I'm not even hungry." Brielle said. "Don't stress yourself over the situation. I know Jason loves you but he messed up big time with this one." Embry said shaking her head. Brielle played over her food with her plastic fork. "Eat B we need energy to finish getting ready for campus tomorrow." Embry said. Brielle ate showered and tried to sleep her pain away.
