Chapter 22

No ones POV

Jason got in his truck after Brielle hung up on him. He was over giving her space. After seeing that guy comment on her page was all it took. He was going to see for himself what she had going on. He doesn't think she would sleep with someone else but he doesn't know for sure. She's on campus with lots of guys. Justin rode in the passenger seat with the windows cracked. He planned to spend time with Embry. He missed her.

"I think she trying to move on bro." Jason said aloud. Justin shook his head. "Bro she don't take this as a game this is serious. What did she say when you tried to talk to her?" Justin asked. "She threw Mayweather blows at me." Jason said thinking how he never saw that side of Brielle. Justin shook his head at his homeboy. Jason told him how Hailee was lying. They heard around town she was using the same storyline to a guy around the way. "Don't go out there with your head cut off this is a security enforced campus. Tell her Hailee's lying and go from there." Justin said giving his friend brotherly advice. He does wrong by Embry but he knows the right things to do. He was tired of hearing his homeboy cry over Brielle. He needed to get his girl back because it was affecting his mood when it came to making money and little things. Jason was short patience with everyone in the trap since Brielle left. He didn't act like that over any other girl. Jason shook his head. He went over the speed limit driving to her campus. He was hurt. Ever since Brielle decided on college he just knew a non hood dude would sweep her off her feet.

He knew he didn't need his gun. These are college guys. He'd simply beat him up if he stepped out of line. Jason was ready for action. When Brielle first enrolled he wrote his name and Justin wrote his name as a family member. This granted them a spare key. Jason loved that he did that because this was his perfect time to use that benefit. He parked and they went inside the room. The girls weren't in here. Jason didn't see a trace of another dude in here as he looked around. Justin chilled on Embry's beanbag while Jason paced back and forth. "I'll be back bro." He said to Justin. "Bet." Justin said helping himself to their snacks. Jason went outside to wait by the building entrance.

End of no one's POV / Embry's POV

Me And Embry walked to our building as Chase followed. I figured he was going to see his link. Embry knows that he deals with a girl in our housing. She doesn't trip because she knows I'm not taking it anywhere with Chase. Embry tapped my side with bugged eyes as we walked to the door entrance. Jason was standing there looking good as ever but murderous. He watched Chase follow behind me. He looked me up and down then him. His eyes read fury. I haven't seen him in a few weeks. I froze but slowly kept walking. Jason started to walk down the hill to meet us halfway. Chase peeped the vibes. I looked at him but he still walked up with me. "Brielle who is this nigga?" Jason said gripping my arm. "You don't have to grab her like that brother." Chase said boldly. I looked at Embry. She made a "Oh shit" face and I shook my head. "Bro why the fuck are you following behind my girl?" Jason said pulling his pants up stepping to Chase. I snapped back into reality that I am on campus and this is a non violent place.

I touched Jason's stomach softly pushing him back trying to calm him down. His temper is uncontrollable and I don't want him acting a fool out here. I know how he can get. "Jason calm down please." I said looking in his eyes. He tended down and relaxed a little bit but his vein was still popping out as he mugged Chase. He looked as if he wanted to kill Chase. "Chase please go leave or go wherever you were going. This is not the time or the place." I said diffusing the situation. "So this your girl bro?" He asked. "What you think nigga?" Jason said holding a stance. "My bad bro I didn't know." Chase said. He held his hands up in defense. He hesitated and continued in the building. Jason mugged him the whole way.

"Are you crazy Jason?" I exclaimed. "He can have you arrested for this mess." I said trying to ungrip myself from him. He didn't let go he had me in a tight hold. He came so close to my face that I smelt his minty breath. "You fucking that nigga Brielle?" He asked giving me a deadly look. I didn't back down I looked at him the same. It's crazy how he's here acting like this when he's not even my mine. I rolled my eyes and did a laugh in disbelief that he would even ask me that. We stared each other down. I know Embry felt the tension. "Not yet." I said boldly but scared. Jason rushed us up the elevator towards my room. Embry followed me to the room. The elevator ride was quiet but you could cut the pressure between me and Jason with a knife.

When I got to my door to twist the key it was unlocked. "I know you locked this door B." Embry said. As I entered the kitchen the lights were on. When I got down the hall to my room Justin was on Embry's bed eating a burger. I cooked homemade burgers and fries last night. I kicked my slides off and plopped on my bed with an attitude. Embry smirked and sat beside Justin eating fries off his plate. I shook my head because this was wrong. Jason was on my trail. "So you fucking with that nigga B?" Jason questioned me. "No Jason I help him study! Happy now?" I said with my arms up putting my hair in a scrunchie. Jason looked at Justin. "Come on boo." Justin said grabbing Embry's hand pulling her off the bed. He probably was going to chill in the living room with her. Jason closed the door and eyed me. His tall frame stood facing in front of me with his hands in his pocket. I miss everything about him but I value my morals.

"Jason I don't know why you came here but you have to leave." My soft voice said. I stood up slipping my UGG slides back on. He watched me and sat on my bed. "You going to have to call the police to put me out Brielle. I'm not leaving." He said in all seriousness. He knows I'll never get the law involved with us so I don't know why he teased me like that. I shook my head looking at him as I leaned on the chair at my desk. "So this is why you can't answer my calls huh." He said shaking his head looking hurt. He held his head down and back up looking at me. "I can't move on that fast Jason. I still love you but I'm not enough for you. You betrayed me so you have no right coming here being crazy. And what did I do to deserve that? I don't know." I said shrugging looking down. These were honest words. He couldn't say anything because everything I said was real. I uncrossed my arms and stood in front of him. His hair needed to be done badly. He rubbed his face.

"Brielle I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you like this." he said apologetically. He held my hand and looked in my eyes. "Please understand that I know I'm wrong. I don't know why I stepped out on you I'm just- I'm just stupid." He said. He looked like a sad puppy. "She's not pregnant Brielle never was. I never slept with her unprotected. She was lying this whole time." He said feeling ashamed. My face held surprisement then it went back to normal. I tried to camouflage my emotions. I let out a breath and took a moment before I spoke. "I'm happy that she's not pregnant but that doesn't make it right. I can't accept what you did. You really hurt me Jay." I said. If I forgive Jason he'll never take me serious. That will just give him lead way thinking it's okay to come back to me. "I deserve everything you promised me or nothing at all. I won't accept sharing you with other females when you don't share me with other men." I said sternly. He looked as if I made him think. "B please what can I do have you back. I need you." He said desperately.

I'm vulnerable  for him and I hate it. I can't let him think it's okay because it'll just get worse. "We're not together but I will speak to you." I said softly. He made an annoyed face then fixed it. "If I'm who you want you have to show me." I said. He smiled and got up. He gave me a big hug and picked me up a little. "I missed you so much Brielle." He groaned. I needed that hug from him. I miss being under his tall figure. I was reluctant at first then I hugged around his neck as Embry and Justin came in. Embry sucked her teeth. "Oh my gosh." She said grinning. I looked back and laughed. Justin did too. "Can I crash here the night?" Jason asked laying in my twin sized bed. It was five o'clock pm. I hit him on the stomach with a decoration pillow from the couch. "No Jason you're too big for this size bed. You have to leave." I giggled. He laughed gazing at me. He does a lot for me so I don't mind if he stays for real. I respect him for that so I'll never bring another guy here. There's no space for both of us. He'd have to sleep on the couch. Besides I don't want him thinking we're A-O-K
