Chaoter 18

I woke up from a much needed nap. I stretched remembering I was in Jason's room. I grabbed my phone off his charger. He called me seven times since I've been sleep. Embry texted me. "My bad girl I'll be there in ten minutes." She said. I replied "Kk." I slipped my holographic slides on and used Jason's bathroom. The blue shorts he had on yesterday were on the bathroom floor. A wad of cash peeked from his pocket. I picked them up and took the cash. I counted it. It was $3600 dollars. I shook my head and threw his pants in his dirty hamper. I neatly put a rubber band around his money and sat it on the bathroom counter. I grabbed my PINK slides heading downstairs.

Anyssa's back was turned as she was cooking. "I'm about to get ready to leave." I said. "When are you coming back down here?" She asked. "I don't know maybe a weekend or whenever Embry does." I said. "Has Gabrielle reach out?" She asked. "I haven't spoke to her since the other day. She's not worrying about me." I said nonchalantly. Anyssa shook her head and fixed me a plate. "Well I do and that's all that matters." She said. I smiled. Embry had text me that she was outside. "Okay I'll see you later I said kissing her cheek." She was fixing another plate. "Here take this to your friend I'm pretty sure y'all will need a good home cooked meal after that drive." She said.

Anyssa cooked potatoe salad macaroni rice and cabbage with turkey wings. I couldn't wait to dig in. I grabbed a bottle of water and headed for the door. When I stepped out I saw Embry's car. Anyssa stood in the doorway and waved at Embry while moving things on her porch. I started to walk down the steps and saw Jason from my perifial. He had to have just arrived and got out of his truck because he was pressing the lock button making the truck beep. When we made eye contact he picked up his pace. "Brielle." He said coming closer. I looked back at Anyssa and she walked in the house minding her business. I sighed. I didn't know whether to walk away or hear what he has to say. I love Jason so my feelings can't go away that easily. I feel like he doesn't take me serious so I just took note to what Anyssa told me. Embry saw and parked to the side. I guess she figured I was going to talk to him

He jogged up the porch and grabbed my hand. "B can we talk?" He asked. I looked in his dark brown eyes. I know he saw the hurt in my face. "Come here." He said. He still had my hand and walked me to the tent like area in their yard. It's like a patio on the ground with walls and curtains covering it. It's cozy in here. Me and Jason used to project movies on the wall and cuddle here. I sat the aluminum foiled food on the table. "Yes Jason." I said fiddling with my fingers. He knows I do this when I'm uncomfortable. "Baby you don't have to be uncomfortable around me. It's me." He said touching my chin lifting my face up. I shook my head blinking repeatedly. "How could you?" I said hitting him in the chest. He grabbed my hands trying to stop me from hitting him. "Chill B." He said. He held my hands until I didn't try to fight him anymore. When he let me go I started swinging again. He held me tight "Brielle stop." He said hugging me. Next thing you know I started crying. I was hoping he didn't notice but I know he did

"Stop crying Brielle." He said hovering over me wiping my eyes. "I'm sorry I'm so stupid. I love you." he said as a tear fell from his eye too. I was surprised. This made me feel like he loved me but his actions showed otherwise. I sighed with a broken heart. "Jason not only did you cheat on me but you got her pregnant." My soft voice said as tears fell. "You don't know what love is Jason." I said expressing my feelings to him through me balling my eyes out. "You got what you wanted out of the situation. Mission accomplished." I said looking down as tears steady fell. He scoffed at that comment. "Mission accomplished? Brielle I see you for more than sex and you know that come on don't do that." He said getting upset.

I shook my head getting up. "So what do you see me for if you had to do this to me? If you need different girls to fulfill you you don't need me." I said to him. He shook his head getting angry when he had no right to be. I shook my head and tried to toughen up. "I have to leave now. I love you Jason but I can't do this with you anymore. Go take care of the mother of your child. I guess that's what you've been doing whenever you couldn't answer for me." I said getting ready to walk away. He grabbed my arm and looked at me with deadly eyes. "What do you mean you can't do this with me anymore?" He asked. I was trying to thug it out. I don't want to walk away from him but I have to. "Brielle please I'll do whatever you want me to do. I need you in my life." He shook his head like he couldn't accept what I said. I thought about telling him to have her get an abortion. I knew he would. I couldn't fix myself to say that because what kind of woman would that make me. They lie down together unprotected so it's beyond my control. I turned loose from his grip on me. "Take care of your seed Jason. That's all you can do for me. Make your child proud." I said walking away from the love of my life.

He called after me saying he loves me but I continued to Embry's car. I have to show Jason that I have a voice. I can't accept that and I can't let him walk over me in this situation. When I got in her car she looked at me. "It's going to be okay B." Embry said rubbing my leg. I nodded and sighed. I looked over and Jason was standing on the porch eyeing me. Our eye contact broke as Embry drove away.
