Chapter 3: The Curse

Marble's POV

Siya na 'yun? As in siya? OMG! I have to learn her name!

"Ikaw na ba 'yung rainbow powered?" Tanong ng iba sa kanya. Seriously, namangha ako sa galing niya ng matakpan niya ang araw in just few seconds. Yumuko na 'yung babae. Halatang nahihiya siya sa'min.

"What is this commotion about?!" Sigaw ni ma'am Aira at para silang hinawing ulap. 'Yung babae lang ang nakatayo.

"Ms. Lammy?" Sabi niya du'n sa babae. Tumingala naman siya...

"Huh! The girl who arrived at the exact minute of Rainbow day? Now tell me, sa tingin mo. Ikaw na ba ang rainbow powered?" Tumingin naman siya kay Celestia. Tumingin din sa taas. Then...

"Siguro po..." Mahinang bulong niya. Nabitawan ni Ma'am Aira ang ballpen at hinawakan ang kamay nu'ng girl. "I knew it." Sabi ni Ma'am Aira. Pumikit at dumilat siya at nakita namin na kulay "Arsenic" na ang mata. Her power is determination. Determination is represented by a wierd color arsenic.

*arsenic: rare color na parang dark blue at light black na napaghalo. Parang kulay ng shaded blue. Ganu'n.

"So... what's your name?"

"Janella Michelle Lammy."

So... that's her name? Janella Michelle Lammy?

Jamila's POV

Pati sa loob ng corridor hindi nila ako tinitigilan. Argh! Can't a special powered user just relax?

"Janella!"

Hindi naman porke't ako na ang pinaka-"powerful" dito pagdidiskitahan na nila ako!

Napa-lingon ako sa tumatawag. And eventually, wala akong nakita. Just a silent corridor. Buti naman nawala na 'yung mga nanggugulo. And suddenly, may nakita akong faded image of a pink girl. Argh! Don't tell me may nagmumulto sa RA?

Lumalapit na sa akin ang naka-pink. Papalayo naman ako ng palayo. Then suddenly, luminaw na siya.

"Hi! I'm Marble, pink powered. Uhm, matanong lang, ikaw na nga ba ang RPU?" Tumango ako. Nasaakin na ang lahat ng evidence.

*necromancy: kakaibang power na nakakausap ang afterlife at mga dead spirits. In short, parang nakakacomunicate sa patay.

"Call me Jamila. It came from 'JA'nella 'MI'chelle 'LA'mmy." Pag-eexplain ko ng history ng pangalan ko.

"Ahh~" Pagtatango-tango niya. Ngumiti na lang ako ng onti.

"Siya na ba counterpart ng necromancy?"

"Sana nga siya na, para matigil na 'yung curse sa Rainbow academy."

-About curse-

1000 years ago, humans had extraordinary activity towards nature, creating an acid that can change the human's DNA into supernatural abilities. Scientists called it 'arcus pluvia' named after noticing the wierd spectres from it. Accidentally mistaken as colored gas after labeling it as one, It combined with the earth's atmosphere in a single area causing an unexpected pollution. The polluted cloud began having spectres on it.

People began to think it was nature's way of showing signs about the armagedon, commonly known as the world's end. The certain cloud hit the ground as rain. However, those who had been dropped by a certain color will eat the human's DNA whole, and will have superhuman abilities. The black side of the Spectre has evil 'DNA'-like features, causing the power have necromantic genes.

It was stated that it had great flood, some people luckily survived, but those who didn't escaped death because of immortal DNA's. Instead, they are the ones that are considered as RAINBOW POWERED.

This phenomenon is called "Rainbow Showering"-- from its scientific name 'arcus pluvia' meaning 'rainbow'

Sinarado ko na ang book. Grabe! Hindi ko na-absorb 'yung content! So... Isa ako sa mga nasa green-side ng spectre cloud?
