"Baby?"
I shut my eyes tight and push his hands away from my waist.
"Baby, please?"
"Mark... Please not now."
"Then when?"
I sit up with pained expression. I saw him on his knees already while trying to face me.
"What are you doing in there?"
"I won't get up unless you talk to me."
"Get up, please?" I cry and plead by holding both his hands.
"Tell me you're going to talk to me..."
"I... don't want to. Not now."
"Then I won't get up. Don't think I haven't noticed the way you try to escape me, Donghyuck. I just woke up after hours of operation. I tried my best to fight my life for you because you cried and asked me not to leave you. Why are you like this?"
I huff and wipe my tears.
"Get up please? Go to your bed."
"Not until we talk this out. I just want to ask you how have you been? I noticed a few fresh bruises and you don't look so pleased that I'm alive and breathing."
"Mark!" I wail out and hug him achingly tight. He hisses but he got comfortable in my embrace a minute after.
"Would you tell me why you're acting like this towards me? Because I suddenly feel like you've grown so far from me in just a few hours and I could actually expect you to say something like: you want to break-up with me."
"No!" I sigh.
He slowly went to bed with me.
"Where'd you get this slap from?" He asks whilt staring right into my cheeks.
I hold his hands.
"From..."
"Your father?"
I shake my head.
"What did he do to you?"
"He just, kicked me and my thighs. And then choked me and held my hair like this." I say and hold his hair tight.
"Oh god," He breathes out with bothered face. "I could've killed him right then and there."
I timidly avert my eyes on my fiddling hands as he adjusts his body towards mine.
"How are you?" I ask hesitantly and hold his bruised shoulder.
"I'm fine baby. It didn't hurt at all." He smiles and hold my hair to tuck it in my ears.
"Stop lying, Mister Lee. Gunshots does hurt."
He chuckles. "It doesn't hurt that much."
"It hurts so much." I glare. "And it's all my fault."
"Huh?"
"Everything is my fault. I did this to you. Only if I was able to receive that stupid gunshot. Only if I just stayed at the car. Only if I fought him back with all my might. Would this have happened?"
"Hey," He soothingly strokes my cheeks. "Baby. None of these is your fault."
"You were hurt because of me."
"No," He kisses my lips. "Why are you thinking like that? None of it was your fault Donghyuck."
I snuggle myself on his side and gently embrace his waist.
