If you think hunting vampires would be boring to do all of the time, you are right. That is why Anthony and I decided it was time to investigate other supernatural creatures, as well. We needed to find out which ones are real and we needed to find out which ones are dangerous. I remember the conversation I had with Anthony about which creature we should research next.

"How about mermaids" I suggested.

"Nah. We don't live close enough to an ocean for me to help with that, and mermaids aren't dangerous. We would just be wasting time" Anthony reasoned.

"Bigfoot?" I asked.

"No need to look for him," Anthony said, "I hear that there is already a college professor in Idaho on that case. It's probably in good hands."

"I guess you're right. But maybe we will go help that college professor when we run out of other things to do"

We both sat thinking for a long time. Then Anthony got a look on his face like he just had a good idea. I waited anxiously for him to share what he was thinking.

"How about we look for other ghosts?" Anthony suggested, "I know they aren't dangerous, but you might like to meet some."

"I don't know," I replied skeptically. "I never told you about the last time I tried to find another ghost. It didn't turn out so well."

"Don't worry." Anthony said confidently. "I have just the place to start. It is an abandoned house right here in town. Some friends at school told me about the guy who used to live there. I guess he lost his cat and died because he was so sad. I wouldn't believe it except that a bunch of my friends saw the ghost, and they wouldn't lie to me."

Won't anyone let me forget that little mistake!. Well, I had to tell Anthony what really happened or he would never stop pestering me about looking at the haunted house.

"That ghost they all saw; it was... it was me." I confessed.

"What! I thought you said a crocodile ate you. Are you telling me you died because of some stupid missing cat?"

"No! I did get eaten by a crocodile!" I contested. "But I remembered hearing about that haunted house, and I looked for another ghost, and..." And then I explained the whole thing to him. I thought he would never stop laughing at me. But at least it was out in the open now and he wouldn't make us go search that house again. After finding out that the only ghost in the haunted house had been me, Anthony convinced me to include a lesson about haunted houses.

"Anyway, if you are done laughing at me" I said huffily, "then I have a suggestion. I think we should investigate werewolves."

"Why werewolves?" Anthony asked.

"First, because they are supposed to be dangerous" I said. "Second, I think there is pretty good evidence that werewolves exist, or at least used to exist. I have been thinking lately about the story of Little Red Riding Hood. There was this wolf who could talk, not to mention look human enough that the girl thought it was her grandmother. I was thinking, maybe that story was written about a werewolf."

And with that to start with, Anthony and I began our research for our next set of lessons.

The End.
