-'•Linetta's POV•'-

He struck at me with full force- trying to whack his fist into my head, I managed to roll sideways out of the way in the nick of time.

Just as he missed he fell forwards as all his weight went into that fist, stalling him.

I dragged myself away slightly and then scrabbled up.

"You're supposed to be a High Lord's son, use those powers of yours!" Blair practically screamed at Nyx- he glanced at her, like he were about to disobey, but as if compelled he summoned his beautiful magic in his hands, making his dark eyes light up a bit.

"Nyx, please-" I begged. "Remember who I am, who you are, you can beat her I know you can." I put my hands out in front of me as if it would protect me- trying to show my desperation.

Yet again, he didn't process a word I said, sending a ball of lighting flashing through the sky.
I raised my hands over my head like I did before- and again, nothing hit me, nothing happened.

I could hear Blair's shout in frustration making me look up. A canopy of thick leaves and branches covered me, shading me slightly from the light of the sky- and the oncoming blast, which tried to bash through my defences.

I don't think I can get used to this I thought as I gaped at my beautiful defence.

I could see Sebastian- watching with his new eyes too- but they have only slightly changed, he already had dark, black eyes, this just makes them look...darker in a harsh, cruel way.

"You're going to hide under your leaves and branches now, Linetta- away from the boy you love?" She asked, pretending to be 'astonished'.

"He's isn't the boy I love." I replied angrily. "Not while you control him."

Nyx just watched me waiting- still trying to sometimes bash through my defences with his lighting ball.

"You can't wait in there forever- you might even be named a coward." Chided Blair- smirking.

When she does that- when I really look at her, she looks ugly, not beautiful.
With her lips curling, coal eyes in a scowl- pale lifeless skin.

I didn't answer her- just relaxed against the branches weaved together surrounding me.

"Hmph, I suppose I'll have to move you myself- seeing as Nyx can't seem to get to you." She complained, a tint of annoyance on her face.

For one moment- I thought she was going to strip away my defence, and let her new 'minion' come after me.

However- she started to raise me up into the sky, with my branches still surrounding me from all sides.

Wait, what is she doing?

I started to move sideways in the air- moving towards the outskirts of Hybern.

No no no no- I pleaded out loud- as if she could hear me. Don't make me leave him.

All of sudden I dropped, my hair flying upwards at the impact. I screamed looking at the drop- I'll snap all my bones for sure.

To my surprise- it came to a halt, hovering just above the ground outside the wood Rhysand dropped me off in, finally putting me on the ground lightly with a soft thump.

"Linetta.."

I recognised that voice... Cailean.

I turned around in my branch defence- now imagining them to slide away, and which they did, letting me into the fall light again, to be able to stand up.

"Where's Nyx?" He asked curiously, looking around for him.

I decided to leave the past- and ignore the frustration I had with Cailean, we have to work together now.

"She's got him." I murmured, looking down at the grass. "I've failed him."

"What do you mean- she has him?" Snarled Erebus, coming up behind Cailean.

"Shes possessed him somehow- totally changing him." I explained- folding my arms over my battered pink dress. "I couldn't see him in there- his eyes weren't even the same colour." I recollected- imagining those lifeless eyes.

"And you just what, left him there?" Seethed Erebus coming closer- fury on his perfect face, his cheeks slightly red.

"I didn't leave him there by choice- anyway I'm going back for him."

I turned around, walking towards the wood, I will save him, with or without these two by my side- I nearly got to the outskirts, stepping into the trees....

I screamed at the pain that enveloped my body- not allowing me to pass- I stumbled back in agony.

"Linetta." Cailean shouted- I could hear he was running to get to me, twigs snapping and leaves crunching. "What's wrong?"

"Don't-" I choked, putting an arm out to stop him from passing. "Go near those trees."

I walked away from it- horror taking over my features.

"We can't get in." I whispered. "We really are banished..."

I could hear Erebus angrily grunting- coming up to me and Cailean.

"What did you say, Lin?" Cailean asked- looking at me slightly confused, analysing my body, I assume to see if I had any signs of injury. "Did you say banished? That's exactly what the guard told us before practically throwing us with full force. I was surprised by the strength..."

His voice faded away as I really really started to panic. I felt my face start to crease as the first lot of tears flooded down my cheeks.

"No, you're lying." Erebus hissed- stepping up to the woods.

"I said-"

His scream rang through my ears- making my tears flood faster.

"I told you- we can't get in." I sobbed- clutching my head in frustration. "We can't save him." I whispered.

"No that's not true, Lin, we can." Cailean promise- cupping my head.

I nodded squeezing my eyes and opening them again, taking his hands away.

"This is your fault-"

"Erebus, not now. We need to work together." Cailean calmed him- putting a soothing hand on his shoulder.

"Alright...I'm sorry Linetta." He mumbled awkwardly- looking away.

I smiled at him. "Don't worry about it Erebus, I understand."

We stood there in silence for a few moments, listening to each other's breathing- it was soothing somehow.

"We need to find Rhysand and Feyre- head back to the Night Court- if anyone can get him back, it's them." Erebus said calmly, the first calm sentence he's said so far.

"Sounds like a good idea." Cailean agreed- thick brows furrowed in thought.

"Could we stop somewhere first?" I asked, looking at both of their faces.

"Where to?"

"My Manor, I want to speak to my father."
