-'•Linetta's POV•'-

On our way to Hybern, I'm already feeling my confidence crumble.
I never want to see her face again, never even want to look at Hybern itself.

But I have to, I have to for him.

Rhysand and Feyre have managed to build up an army in a matter of hours. They have been planning this ever since Nyx and me were 'kidnapped'- so everyone they have trust in, is marching right behind us.

We had just made it across the seas, remembering horrors I'd rather not remember-   it seems the sea isn't so calm for me anymore.

To put my mind off my shaking, fearful body- I decided to practice the magic I have nearly mastered.

I can do everything that I have been taught to by Amren- the hope and confidence I felt in that moment, that I had conjured everything I wanted at once, was thrilling. I wanted to taste more of it- but I guess I'm getting what I wished for, since battle is almost right around the corner.

Battle. I thought, horrified but excited as we walked through an open field- horses repeatedly snorting. Who would've thought I would be in a battle, just like my father has talked of before?

That made me remember, to look to the right of me- where my father walked.
Apparently he wanted to join, to help make things right.
I still don't believe him- that he wants to help. He never agreed with me and Nyx, or anything to do with the Night Court, so why now?

"Linetta?" I turned around to see Astraea walking away from Rhysand and Feyre, and falling in line next to me. "Are you alright?"

I sighed- looking up at the sun winking through the leaves of the trees- squinting. "Scared, really scared."

Astraea folded her arms- looking sadly ahead of her, her gaze looking towards the many fields stretching in front of us, and the faint outline of the Castle of Hybern.

"Me too." She murmured, I couldn't help but admire her beautiful curly brown hair, shining in the sun, falling to the tops of her shoulders. "But we both have a loved one in that horrific place, that's what drives me. That's what gives me the fighting chance-" She explained strongly- power in her pretty voice. "-nothing better than the strong feeling of vengeance in a battle."

"I've never experienced it." I admitted, cringing at the weak voice that spoke back.

"Neither have I, but my parents have told me about it enough. To prepare me."

"They're good parents."

She nodded proudly- glancing at me. "They really are, best in the world."

I couldn't help but glance at my father- who seemed to be wincing, as if he were in pain. I looked away- looking ahead, as we neared the edge of the field- nearing the entrance of the next one. I wish I could say the same about him.

"They're your parents too." She added- to lighten the mood.

I glanced at her half smiling. "How?"

"Well, you and my brother are mates- so I'd say a wedding could be in order."

My face flooded with heat at the thought, of Nyx in beautiful wedding clothes, his charming- handsome smile on his perfect face...

"If I get him back.." I whimpered- letting the tears that had threatened me seep out.

"Hey- it's okay." Astraea whimpered back- both of us stopping, and her pulling me into a hug. "You will have that day Linetta- I promise you, I'll make that happen. No matter the cost."

I nodded- my tears starting to soak her hair.

I wanted to stay in her comforting hug longer, until I started to hear the people around me intake breaths.

"Who's that?"

"Can't be Hybern- they don't even know of us coming."

"There's two people, don't you think there would be an army?"

"Yeah, right."

who, who's there? I thought in panic.

I stepped out of Astraea's arms, looking to where the commotion was brewing.

Everything felt like it went into slow motion-  the shock blatant on my face, I choked on a sob as I started to run like hell was chasing me.

"NYX." I screamed with delight, happiness, pushing past the rest of the army as I ran into the open.

I could recognise his shape anywhere- and as I got closer, the blackness in his eyes had vanished- to his beautiful violet-blue. Sebastian was there too, a dazzling smile on his face. He's free too- I thought in wonder.

"LINETTA!" He screamed back- running towards me too.

This can't be real- but it is real- he's here he's here he's here..

Just like that, as we nearly touched we were flung back- my body spiralling at an awkward angle as I landed on the hard earth.

"Linetta of Spring-" Blair smiled a lethal smile- her black hair pulled into a bun- a glistening crown atop her head, as she stood looking down at me. "-the most annoying bitch I have ever  come across-" She snarled, grabbing me by the chin. "I would say it's nice to see you again, but I think we're past that, aren't we?"
