Theo, despite being shot up with the worst form of wolfsbane that Deaton said he'd ever seen, woke up by that afternoon. And it was at that point that Malia took Jade by the shoulders, Theo gave Isaac a gentle push in Scott's direction, and Liam informed the duo that they were having date night.
They prepared in separate rooms, Isaac getting Jade's, and Scott getting his own, of course. Isaac was borrowing Scott's clothes, but that didn't really matter. They turned Scott away from his slightly-messy closet so he couldn't see what Isaac was wearing.
Malia and Lydia dressed Isaac up in a pale blue button-up shirt, which made him nervous, and he chewed his lip. "Why blue?" he wondered, glancing over to Jade as though worried she might have said something.
"To match your eyes, silly," Lydia rolled her eyes. "There, perfect. And khakis, of course...a little big, we're going to need to take you out shopping...and feed you more, obviously...there. Perfect."
Isaac gulped, before remembering that his actual, human eyes were actually blue. He relaxed somewhat, but remained in a tense state. "How do you know Scott even wants to go out on a date night?" he demanded. "And who's going to watch Jade? What if Allison comes back?"
Malia sent Isaac an offended glare from her perch on Jade's bed. "I am, of course. I'm, like, the maternal figure in her life. And if that huntress so much as looks at Jade, I will end her."
Lydia nodded in agreement.
"Really? I would've thought it would be Lydia," frowned Isaac, glancing toward the strawberry-blonde.
"Sorry," shrugged Lydia, rubbing her stomach, "but I've got my own kid to be maternal for." She grinned. "I'm going to tell Stiles tonight, on our own date night, so don't bug us, you guys."
Isaac congratulated her, before returning to his worries. "What if Scott doesn't like me anymore?"
"Oh, God," groaned Malia, dragging a hand down her face. "Why did I sign up for this, again?"
Meanwhile, in Scott's room, Scott was already fully dressed in a black button-up shirt and matching black khakis, and pacing around in his room.
"You're going to wear a hole in the floor, if you do that," Theo said lazily, from where he lay on Scott's bed, with his arm curled around Liam.
"What if he doesn't like it?" worried Scott.
"He will," Liam informed him. "Also, would you tell him I'm sorry?"
"Yeah, of course, he gets it - your fiance was poisoned, it happens," Scott waved it away. "Anyway, what if it isn't fancy enough? Oh, God, what if it's too fancy? What if it makes him uncomfortable?"
"You're acting like Liam, on our first date," observed Theo.
Liam slapped him. "That's because you wouldn't tell me where we were going! I had no idea what to wear!"
Theo shrugged, before giving Liam a kiss on the lips.
"Focus! This needs to be perfect for Isaac!" Scott interrupted their kiss, annoying both of his packmates.
"Well, surely you know what kind of dates he likes," pointed out Liam. "Didn't you guys go on dates when you were together before? Even if you didn't tell anybody?"
"No, we were too afraid people would see us together," Scott mumbled. "I. I was too afraid," he amended the statement.
"So this is really your guys' first date?" Theo sat up, startling Liam, who fell with a thump onto the floor.
"Hey!"
"First dates are important, which is why I'm getting you a critic, of the highest degree," Theo decided, and disappeared out the door.
