There was another crash, like the sound of something imploding, and as someone's pleading voice followed him, no doubt Kira's, Scott McCall stumbled, bleeding and bruised, towards the scent of his mate.
"Isaac," he pleaded with his mother. "I need to be with Isaac. I promised him I'd be there..."
"He'll understand, honey," Melissa comforted him. "Both babies arrived early, it's no one's fault. You got the beta out of there, and that's great. Now, would you let me help heal you?"
"Isaac," he begged his mother, out of breath and in pain.
"Not right now," Melissa chided quietly. "Isaac needs to sleep."
When Isaac woke up, he jumped out of his skin at the sight of Scott, whose face had dried blood all over it. His head was lolling as the alpha's head nearly fell out of the uncomfortable chair that he'd obviously spent the night in, and he clearly had taken a fairly good beating, though his werewolf healing had helped heal a good portion of the injuries.
"Scott," whispered Isaac, and the alpha instantly woke up.
"Isaac, I'm so sorry," murmured Scott, rushing over to Isaac. "I'm so sorry, baby, I promised I'd be there, I promised, and then I wasn't..."
"You were," murmured Isaac, smiling softly at Scott. "You were in my heart."
"Can I see our babies?" asked Scott quietly.
Melissa brought the babies in, and Scott held up the firstborn girl. "This is Cammie Sierra McCall-Lahey," he introduced, "and this one is - "
"Christopher," Isaac said quietly, and Scott nodded. "Christopher Aiden McCall-Lahey!"
It was almost like the Lion King, holding the babies up so everyone could see; but soon, the other wolves got grabby hands, and as Scott climbed up onto the silver table and Isaac curled into him, Cammie and Chris got passed around a fair amount.
As Lydia and Stiles were already Jade's godparents, Malia and Theo became Cammie's godparents, and Chris' godparents were Kira and Liam. Melissa tried to hide it, as the boys were still so young, but she was obviously excited to have two new grandchildren, along with Jade.
"I love you, Scott McCall," murmured Isaac, as they watched their babies get passed around the clinic.
"I love you, Isaac Lahey," returned Scott, pressing a kiss to Isaac's forehead.
"That's getting old," Isaac commented idly.
Scott tilted his head, playing with Isaac's blond curls. "Saying 'I love you'?"
"No," murmured Isaac. "My last name not being McCall-Lahey."
Scott stared, open-mouthed, as his mate fell asleep, and as Isaac began snoring softly, Scott gaped at his mother, who had walked in and heard the entire thing.
"Did he just indirectly ask me to marry him?" Scott wondered.
"Well, I think he's still a little bit delirious," Melissa admitted, "but yes, I believe he did."
As Scott went to shake Isaac awake, Melissa added, "Don't you dare wake that boy up, Scott McCall. He needs his rest."
"But, Mom!" protested Scott childishly.
Five Months Later
"I do," Isaac smiled joyfully at the love of his life, his true alpha, his mate, Scott McCall.
"And do you, Scott McCall, take Mr. Isaac Lahey to be - "
"I do," Scott interrupted, to a chorus of laughter. "I definitely do."
