Another day of school, another forty-five minutes of sitting behind her, in her presence. Of course I have more classes with her but this is the only one I am near her. I just love being around her, I don't really know why.
"I've read your journals and they're all nice. You're all such great writers, but I'm going to make you amazing writers." Mrs. Benson smiles happily as if she was excited to teach this unit. Maybe she is. "We're going to start with a project." The class groans in response. "Don't worry, there won't be any work to do. Unless, of course, you count writing whatever you want work."
"We're going to pull names from.." She trails off as she searches for a container to hold tiny strips of paper. "Jess's hat." She snatched the hat from a girl with sandy blonde hair. "Jess..why were you wearing a hat?"
"I felt it was necessary." Jess shrugged.
"Alright." Mrs. Benson nodded her head and filled the hat with the paper.
"I'm coming around with the hat, this side will pick out a name and that person will be your partner for this project." She said as she started her tour around the desks.
"Um, what if we don't, like, you know. What if we don't like our partner?" A boy in the back asked. I've never really heard him speak before.
"Then you'll have to deal with it." Mrs. Benson flashed him a sarcastic smile.
She stopped beside Marina, who had her head down. How come I just noticed this?
**There's something wrong with this chapter it lost half of the writing. I'm so disappointed.**
In summary: A curly haired girl named Ren asked Elizabeth to switch partners with her so she could be with her friend, Jess. Elizabeth received Marina's name.
